His age reads "15". While I held a job from age 10 (yes, age 10), kids nowadays don't hold work in the same esteem as we did. Before I get the same retort as my own kids gave me at 15 (Have to be 16 to work fast food or grocery), there are many other jobs out there that age is not a barrier. Like mowing lawns. The 4 kids I have that gave the same smart*ss remarks at 15 (#5 is 15 now) wished they had listened to dumb old Mom when they reached 16 and had no car or license. :woot

I grounded one of mine for an entire summer at 15 for not even trying to get some work and just laying around his room, playing Playstation and WATCHING TV. He is almost 19 now and remembers it well.

I am noticing an influx of 15-17yr olds on the boards, anyone else catch this one also? And from rival teams too. What I am wondering is why a Jag is posting this here, why not on their own home board?

As far as cable goes, Time Warner appears to own Houston metro and
don't think they offer NFL Network. What service providers do we have
here that offer NFL Network ?

Time Warner doesn't carry NFL Network. I had DirecTv for a few months and wasn't impressed at all with the channel. Same stuff, over and over. In my opinion it's not as great as people say. I had to switch to TWC when I got an HDTV set, because DirecTv's HDTV lineup leaves alot to be desired.

As you may notice, I'm also 15 years old, and I've been posting on this board for quite some time now... (Its my offseason refuge). But I also enjoy posting on other boards too, mostly because you get feedback on the Texans from other points of view (Everyone agrees AJ is awesome).

PS- I have a job and I wouldn't mind having the NFL Network

Hey i was just as excited as you when i was able to get the NFL network. I have Voom satellite. Voom and Direct tv are the only ones who carry it. This channel is true football heaven. There is no reason Time warner shouldn't be able to carry this network. I called them yesterday because Voom satellite may shut down at the end of the month and I'll probably have to resort back Time warner, but the guy said they are working on the NFL network since soo many have been requesting it. He said to ask all ppl who want this channel to go to their website and write to them that you want the NFL network channel. Its offered in HD also, so all you TWC customers, call or write to them and please request this channel. After all, we can NEVERRRRR get enough football channels.

No its a free channel...It should go into their sports channel packages so you wouldn't pay anything extra.

God i'd die for the NFL sunday ticket if Direct tv's receivers with DVR weren't soo expensive i get them in a heartbeat. Right now i'll have to settle for the NFL network as my extra NFL channel....TMC needs to get with it quick.

What does your explaining about when you had a job at 15 have to do with anything? Kid's nowadays don't have to work in the same esteen as you did. Kids nowdays are also getting smarter than kids of your days. TV is becoming more of a thing, it's not just kids doing it. Everyone is, it's getting more popular to become a couch potato. People on the internet are growing, so what a kid that is 15 that is from another board wants to come explore another team's board and chat? I'd hate to be one of your kids..
