Default Oklahoma Pro Day

Link from NFL.com

OKLAHOMA: MARCH 9
Well, this turned out to be quite a spectacle as 15 players worked out for 75 NFL player personnel people. In addition, NFL Network was on hand covering the Pro Day. So I guess you could say this was a popular place to be.

All of the players did positional drills, but several of them stood on their times from the combine (you can do that when you work out and do well in Indianapolis -- another benefit to working out at the combine). The players ran inside the old Oklahoma fieldhouse, then did positional drills in OU's new fieldhouse.
Player Position Gil's comments

Jammal Brown OT stood on his numbers from the combine and opted to only do positional drills.

Dan Cody DE (6-5, 257) ran the 40 twice for times of 4.75 and 4.76. He had a 33-inch vertical, a 10-foot-1 long jump, a 4.56 in the short shuttle and a 7.09 in the cone drill.

Mark Clayton WR stood on his numbers from the combine and opted to only do positional drills.

Brodney Pool S was 6-1, 201 pounds, had a 39-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-8 long jump, ran a 4.54 and a 4.55 in the 40, a 4.50 short shuttle and a 7.25 in the three-cone drill.

Mark Bradley WR stood on his numbers from the combine and opted to only do positional drills.

Vince Carter C worked out at 6-2 and 293 pounds. He had a 30-inch vertical, a 7-foot-3 long jump, then ran 5.75 and 5.74 in the 40. Vince had a great career with the Sooners and was bothered by a medical problem in his right knee. I doubt these times are indicative of what he could run when healthy.

Jonathan Jackson DE played DE in college but might be converted to a linebacker at the NFL level. He measured up at 6-2 7/8 and 235 pounds, had a 37-inch vertical, a 10-foot-4 long jump, a 4.60 and 4.60 in the 40, a 4.41 short shuttle and a 7.45 in the three-cone drill.

Brandon Jones WR 6-1 3/8 and 208 pounds. He ran a 4.47 and 4.45 in the 40, a 4.09 short shuttle and that was all. To give a comparison, Jones ran 4.40 and 4.43 at the combine.

Lynn McGruder DT was 6-1, 303 pounds, and ran a 5.05 and 5.0 flat in the 40.

Lance Mitchell LB who ran at the combine, did again here for times of 4.89 and 4.87 in the 40.

Donte Nicholson S (6-1, 209) did a 34-inch vertical, a 10-foot-3 long jump, a 4.58 and 4.55 in the 40, a 4.25 in short shuttle and a 7.23 in the three-cone drill.

Will Peoples WR (6-0 5/8, 200) had a 34-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-4 long jump, a 4.60 and 4.66 in the 40, a 4.28 short shuttle and a 7.06 in the three-cone drill.

Antonio Perkins CB ran the 40 three times. His first try was at 4.50, his second was at 4.56, but he slipped, and he pulled up short on his third try.

Wes Sims OL stood on his numbers from the combine and opted to only do positional drills, but he did try the three-cone drill for a time of 7.60.

Jason White QB ran 40s for times of 4.99 and 5.0, and did the short shuttle in 4.29 and the three-cone drill in 7.30. Other than that, he just did positional drills.

Me too. I see him as a possible late 2nd round, 3rd round pick.

Due to all of white's injuries and problems in big games, he'll be a late round pick. But thats just my opinion.

I agree that he'll be a later round pick. I'd be surprised if he went on the first day. There are alot of good QBs that are closely ranked in this draft. Frye, Fitzpatrick, Orvlovsky, Campbell, etc.
