Mike Klis of the Denver Post writes that Broncos Pro Bowl tackle Ryan Clady suffered a non-football injury to a patella tendon in one of his knees. The severity is unknown.


Wow, pretty depressing for Denver fans. Seems like patella injuries must be hard for these big guys to rehab.

Reported that it wasn't a full tear and surgery went well. Saying he should be ready for the season. Not sure I buy that, but they didn't say HOW ready he would be.

I can see shooting hoops a little, but a full blown b-ball game is a lil dumb. Too easy to land on a foot and hurt one of those legs. Just not real smart.

I would bet that somewhere in his contract is an item prohibiting such activity. Happens too often for teams to not have it in there. Not sure what they could/would do just because it is though.
