Default Second day draft targets

2nd and 3rd rounds...

I am thinking Toby Gerhart and Major Wright would be a nice 2nd day haul

Of course that means we are going RB and FS but different players from what I predict haha. I am really happy its a deep draft class at our need positions this year.

PS: Outside shot DTs Brian Price or Lamarr Houston are available when we pick in the 2nd. Would be the second round in a row (pun intended) that I claimed a DT was BPA at our pick, maybe with the obvious hole patched up we take one to get some push up the middle?

In the secondd, I like running back Ben Tate from Auburn or possibly Nate Allen FS from South Florida.

In the third, I like Geno Atkins DT from Georgia or Boston C Matt Tennant.

I hope they would pick a RB Tobey or Tate in the second rd. And a DT or FS in the 3rd. However, the FO will probably pick a RB or DT that I haven't heard of. Oh well, in Kubes/Smith I trust, plus it's their necks on the line anyway!

Still crossing my fingers for Gerhart in the second.

After that, I want a guard or free safety.

Default Re: Second day draft targets

I'd be happy if we come away from these two picks with a RB and a Lineman either interior OL or DT.

To be specific I'd be looking RB or DT in the 2nd as only Asamoah is worth a second round pick on the OL.

In the 3rd I'd be looking for a RB, DT or interior OL depending on who went in the 2nd.

4th round I'd definitely be looking FS as I think there is value there.

I like the idea of Tate or Gerhardt( in that order) for the second rd. and Major Wright in the 3rd. We would get our bruiser back and our seconadary would look to be very physical.

OG - Jon Asamoah, Mike Johnson, Charles Brown (LG???)
RB - Montario Hardesty, Ben Tate, Jonathan Dwyer, Toby Gerhart, Dexter McCluster
DT - Lamarr Houston, Geno Atkins, Brian Price, Linval Joseph, Jay Ross?
S - Nate Allen, Taylor Mays (err I'm not huge on putting him in here)

My dream would be:
1 - Kareem Jackson CB
2 - Jon Asamoah LG
3 - Montario Hardesty/Ben Tate RB

Edit: Actually I'd really like this -
1 - CB Kareem Jackson
2 - RB/WR Dexter McCluster
3 - DT Albert Haynsworth (include 6th rd pick for trade)
4 - LG Zane Beadles
5 - RB Charles Scott
6 - LG/OT Adam Ulatoski
7 - BPA (DT,CB,FS)
