we got the #1 and #2 picks, Mario and Demeco, according to these guys.

No. 1? It was Mario Williams and it's still Mario Williams. He's had 35 sacks the last three seasons, just what the Texans wanted, and he's one of the players who's moving them toward contention. Extra bonus: Houston got No. 2 in the redraft with DeMeco Ryans, the first pick of the second round and the defensive rookie of the year that season.

They completely leave out daniels, winston and DA as though they are irrelevant.

I said something in the comments about OD and Winston being left out. I don't think they belong in the top 15 of that draft, but they are certainly better than some of those 15-21 guys...

Guess Denver didn't get the memo about having the best draft seeing as their top two players from that draft have been shipped out. Dumervil is a stud though.

Ironic that this guy heaps praise on Ernie Sims who just got shipped off for a 5th.

I can't think of a team that netted 3 pro bowlers in the 2006 draft. Even if the pro bowl voting is garbage, really we had 1 bad pick and 1 pick get run over by the Dayne Train. I just don't see many other teams netting multiple decent starters like we did.

While we down in Houston are honored to be number two, let me remind you of some of our other picks in 2006 since you left these guys out.

3rd round: Eric Winston, starting right tackle.
4th round: Owen Daniels, pro-bowl TE. (Was top 2 in all major TE categories prior to getting hurt 8 games in.)
7th round: David Anderson. Excellent depth. Started 8 games at receiver for us, and had almost 400 yards and 38 catches. Not bad for a 7th rounder.
