A German Mock Draft

I did the Draft for the Texans in a Mock Draft over the last 2 weeks on a German NFL Message-Board...


The Results are:

Houston Texans:
Rd. 1 - Pick #20: Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State
Rd. 2 - Pick #51: Brandon Ghee, CB, Wake Forest
Rd. 3 - Pick #81: Linval Joseph, DT, East Carolina
Rd. 4 - Pick #118: J. D. Walton, C, Baylor
Rd. 5 - Pick #150: Myron Lewis, FS/CB, Vanderbilt
Rd. 6 - Pick #187: C. J. Wilson, DE, East Carolina
Rd. 6 - Pick #197: Armanti Edwards, WR/QB/KR, Appalachian State
Rd. 7 - Pick #227: Chris McGaha, WR, Arizona State

I didnt the Pick in Round 7... I like McGaha, but i think i wouldve taken a Corner or Linebacker...

I think Joseph will probably go in the second to one of the 3-4 teams. And Walton will probably go third round. But good job overall.

If we got this draft i would be happy. Not that keen on Mathews in the first but you covered all the bases and got my absolute favourite prospect in the draft Armanti Edwards.

Getting Joseph and Walton that late would be a steal. I think you did a good job of addressing our needs.

I like the guys but like others doubt some will be there after 2nd round. How are you going to talk Kubiak into drafting a huge NT? I want one but doubt it happens even if Joseph available.

I don't like Mathews in the 1st but 2-5 are outstanding and I'm not familiar with 6-7. Overall very good job.

Thanks... i dont think the guys are availible... but we did a complete draft and the other guys let them on board, so i couldnt pass on them...

i wanted kyle wilson in round 1 but he went to the titans... so mathews was the best availible...

What about a mock based on YOUR opinions of who would be available and what should be done?

So my ideas or hopes for thursday are to get a Corner in the 1st round. i like Kyle Wilson, but if he`s not available im fine with Mathews. Thomas or Williams would be great in first round, too.

I think if the coaches believe in Slaton they go for a corner in the first and if not they target Mathews.

So on that what i know, I´m Ok with Steve, so i would take a RB in Round 2 or 3 to secure the position. Gerhart or Tate impressed me for the most.

Next biggest need for me ist DT and i stay with Linval Joseph. This guy is huge and still has some athletisicm. i think such a big guy will have an impact effort for okoye as well.

Rounds 4-7 are hard to predict... i´d go with my picks on the top...if you dont think Walton is on Board, im ok with Eric Olsen or Ted Larsen, but i wont take McGaha in 7th, maybe a Linebacker or another DT...

Beerlover, RMARTIN65 & I on an earlier mock really liked Joseph, but we just could not be convinced that Smith would draft him. I have pushed for a big DT for three years but have to admit that the "smaller" guys we have pretty much shut down the run as last season progressed. Now if this season the Dline could disrupt the QB a bit more.....
