Look for them to sign Hargrove in FA Drafting Okung would make their OL complete. Then they can draft BPA at deep positions in rds 2-5. CB,S,RB Schwartz and Mayhew are doing a great job. |

I'm not thinking they go DT because DT isn't a high need for them right now. Last edited by El Tejano; 04-05-2010 at 01:17 PM. |

Hargrove is not a FA. The Saints re-signed him. It'd have to be a trade.

Carr would have time to throw and he has no one to blame but himself for his failures. Schaub has played behind similarly tooled Offensive Lines and has done well. People need to stop blaming the OL or the Texans for Carr's failure to be worth a crap. Carr wasn't worth a crap because he wasn't worth a crap. Nothing more and nothing less. Just because ESPN says we had no OL (remember their draft commercial with no OL in front of Carr) doesn't mean its true. Carr just sucked donkey ****.

Personally, I like Okung being the pick for Detroit. You HAVE to protect your #1 pick money and franchise QB. Backus is talked about highly by the Lions HC but he's not your franchise LT. The trick is where do they all play.
Okung would be set at LT. Backus is better suited at LG or maybe RT. Sims played LG. Cherilous is their RT. If one of Sims/Brackus could make the transition to RG, I think their OL would be set and could become a strength of their team! Detroit has to face Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews and Jared Allen 6 games a year. Those are 3 of the top pass rushers in the league. Your QB has already gotten injured b/c of your OL. Okung is the pick if I'm GM. Plus, it's not like he's not a highly rated draft pick either. Although Suh and McCoy are both really great prospects, DT busts out much easier than LT. |

Okung should be the pick but out of all the offensive linemen playing tackle I like Trent Williams the best. e has something that all the other top tackles lack or are inconsistent at -- punching and using your hands to get a good grip on the guy and push him around. Not to mention he played for what used to be one of the top offensive lines in the nation and he can always slide to the guard position if need be.

This also means that Chester Pitts won't be going to Detroit. Yippee!

Detroit certainly has done a lot to improve themselves this off-season. Man, and I thought we were cursed with Casserly. Millen makes him looks like an effin genius by comparison. |

They can get Suh in the first and Vladimir Duasse in the second.
