Very different mock here. Best and Ducasse in the 3rd. Haden dropping to the 2nd and the texans passing on him for a different DB. Ben Tate in the first round? And Pierre-Paul taking a giant drop.

Best starts out with a concussion history. That will drop him. Criss Cooke fits what the Texans have done before. Draft the big DB and see if he has the feet to make it at corner. Not my theory. But Cooke has size and quick feet. And I'm not in love with this group of corners like a lot of others are. We'll see in five years how many are still in the league. Demand is the driving force. But if I'm seeing it , you can believe the scouts are seeing it too. This is a bad group of corners. Buy one before the third at you own peril.

I like this mock, it shows you've got your own rating system and don't care what the ESPiN mocksters think.
Interesting to see you took back to back DBs. I love the Mathews and Akwasi picks. I probably would've gone Mike Johnson in the 2nd with the way your mock draft fell to ensure we'd have a running game this season by reuniting him with Caldwell in the middle. Mathews/Johnson in the 1st two rounds? You bet we're gonna get in from the 1 yard line!!! Don't think Haden/Wilson will fall to round 2 however. Even if you're bearish on those two, I think there's an NFL team out there that's gonna grab em both in the 1st. Especially since Haden improved his 40 to mid 4.4s on a wet surface. I'm interested in your reasoning why the Lions go Mccoy over Suh? Good mock 3TP!!!

Cooke over McCourty in the 2nd? I'd be pissed if that happened, sorry.
Cooke: -He's not a physical tackler -Been suspended twice for academic reasons -Has been consistently injured -Looks for the big play too often, giving up easy completions

I have to agree. I am not a Cooke fan. But I have Mathews, Lamarr Houston then Ansah on my mock.

generally speaking its a fair representation of talent. specific groups like CB he hits severly but that's his perversion. Change Burnett one spot to Texans 2nd rd. pick & you have our Mock draft for the Texans thru 3 rounds.

I love Mathews but I don't want a rb in the 1st. I think the Texans have to go fs or dt depending on how it plays out. I'm scared of Taylor Mays because of all the negatives he has on coverage. In your mock I would have taken:
1-Dan Williams dt 2-Joe Haden db 3-Nate Allen fs |

I think he meant those are the three he would choose from in TTP's mock according to what TTP had left from the 20th pick and going forward into the next rounds. It's not bckey that needs to "sober up," it's TTP! LOL!

Thanks but re-read the thread and Insideop refers to the three Texans picks in the original mock; first, second and third rounds.
