Sean Payton pranks Jerry Jones - steals his wine

Here came the bottle of Caymus Special Selection, and the Saints' party drained it.

But drinking Jones' wine wasn't enough. Payton gave the waiter some instructions, took out his pen ... and, well, the Cowboys party found at the middle of their table the next evening an empty magnum of Caymus Special Selection cabernet sauvignon, with these words hand-written on the fancy label:

That's the kind of thing Jones will get a big laugh out of. And remember.

Read this today too. Preety good stuff. Payton and Jerry like each other since Payton was under Parcells in Dallas. As the article said, I'm sure Jerry took it in stride...and remembered it.

I think I would have saved it for Jerry..anticipating that he would be the bigger tipper.

Jerry is a big Payton backer. Probably regrets letting him go.

Those in professional sports, especially football, seem to enjoy their pranks.

It would be funny though if through all of that the waiter received a $20 tip as opposed to perhaps $200 for accommodating Jerry.

there was a report that came out a couple of days later that talked about how Jones and Payton were having dinner/drinks together and laughing about it - and Jerry wanted to keep the wine bottle as a reminder of the prank but it ended up getting broken somehow
