Read my whole post, zone blocking has nothing to do with pass blocking, that's why Davis started having good games towards the end of the season while Carr continued to get sacked and rushed. My point is, people are saying to wait another year for the zone blocking to get better, but the fact is it is probably almost as good as it will get, pass blocking has nothing to do with the zone blocking scheme...the fact is our O line is not the best group of pass blockers...
Davis had good games the previous year also without zone blocking. Davis can find the holes so he can run in either style blocking. The switch just set the offensive line back last year while trying to learn it when it wasn't necessary. In the long run it will help a wider range of rbs but was it really something we had to do in year 3? Dom should have done it in year 1 from the start if that is what he wanted.
