Tampa safety Dwight Smith arrested.

TAMPA - Bucs safety Dwight Smith was arrested early today after he pulled a pellet gun on two fans who approached his car as they waited in line at a McDonald's drive through, Hillsborough County sheriff's officials said.

Smith, who pleaded guilty to pulling a gun on a motorist in 2003, and a friend, David Roston, were in line inside Smith's 2004 BMW at 4 a.m. when a woman in the car ahead of them recognized Smith, officials said.

Two men in the car, Trevor Boyce Jr., 19, and Javier Joseph Jr., 22, got out and walked back to Smith's car and tried to talk to him, officials said.

Smith, annoyed, pulled a pellet gun, but did not shoot it, officials said. Roston, 26, got out of the car and punched Boyce, officials said.
