Do you see us taking a WR in the 1st. If K-Dub leaves, can JJ fill his role? Imagine our offense with AJ, Dez Bryant and OD.

I actually saw a mock-draft awhile ago that had us taking Dez Bryant.
*EDIT* Found it: Quote:
Most that I've seen have us taking S Earl Thomas from Texas.

questionable character i doubt the fo would draft him anyway but we have bigger needs than wide reciever
i think we should target malcolm floyd or lance moore i would love miles austin but i'm sure leather face already has the contract drawn up!

Haha, I had a discussion with beerlover about this a little while back. He brought up a valid point, look at how much the O suffered when OD went out. Now imagine that if AJ goes out (yes, we have experienced it before, but this is not the same team. I dont think AD could equal his feats of that year). This led to us thinking that maybe a secondary WR would be a good pickup in this up coming draft.
Personally, I still think a number 2 receiver is not enough of a need for this team to justify an early pick. We have some holes in the starting lineup, those need to be addressed. I am really trying to figure out a spot for the GT WR Dermayius Thomas. 6'3" 240 lbs, legit 4.44 speed, solid hands, he would be a sick pairing with AJ. |

I am sure Vinny will put up a 2010 draft forum soon, but in the meantime let's keep the draft discussion in the college football or mock draft forums. Thanks.

Classic case of BPA. There'd have to be a really good player available in order to pass him up.

I still say if we dont get a safety or OL in round 1, and a RB or CB in round 2, we made a mistake.

Dez Bryant in the first is a luxury pick that we don't have. too many holes.

This could be THE only reason to go off the reservation if we didn't take an OL, DL, S, or C with our first pick.
Dez Bryant is the bizness, IMO. The only thing that could plague him is if he lets his talent go to his head and he ends up being un-coachable or thinks he has it made and just doesn't care about being a very awesome NFL WR. The dude is off-the-charts, in my humble opinion.

I see the Jets or Ravens going after Marshall instead of a rookie

pass. to be perfectly honest i think jordan shipley would be the best receiving option for the texans (as an aggie/tech fan). i'm all for BPA, and in this draft i'm very much in favor of expanding our offensive weapons, but with jacoby finally coming into his own as a receiver, dez doesnt do a thing for me - and is not worth a first round pick.
as i've said a couple times before, i take shipley in the second (or third if we know he'll last). he's arguably the most NFL ready player in college right now, is wholly versatile as a holder and returner and special teamer and every WR position, and adds NOW to our offense - accentuating and adding depth to what we have without taking away from anything else.
