Talking Re: Texans Fan Dictionary

Here's a word that I made up, not sure if it will get the seal of approval but here it is:

Pulling A Duane Brown - Drafting a guy no one has any idea who the hell he is; is often followed by numerous angry posts on TexansTalk.

Demoated: When one is placed below an inferior coworker for a suspicious or thru the use of poor logic. As in Ryan was "demoated" behind Chris, because Chris is better at......"

Origins: This is in reference to the fact that Ryan Moats a RB for the Houston Texans of the National Football League, who was a second stringer behind another Houston Texans RB. The logic used was that Chris Brown was a better "blocker". This is strange because it implies that Mr. Brown was able to both run the ball or block. When in fact Mr. Brown could only block, while Mr. Moats could run, and at least stand in front of the opposing team. Following the logic of the Houston Texans, one would wonder why they wouldn't have Moats run the ball, and on passing downs bring in an Offensive Lineman, because if all Mr. Brown could do was block, why not have a blocking specialist in the game.

2nd Down Punt: A strategy developed by the Houston Texans an American Football Team in the National Football League. This was a strategy used thru out the 2009 season in which rather than attempting move the ball for 10 yards to convert a first down by running the ball, the RB would simply "fumble" the ball on second down in order to change pocession rather than waiting until the 4th down to punt the ball which is more traditional practice in American Football.

To be fair to Myers, Pitts also got thrown to the ground on that exact move later in the game. Not that it takes away from the suckitude of Myers though.

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not yet but we must have a term referring to how the Browns (Chris and Kris) did one hell of a number on our season.

A Brown Out : the act of single-handedly destroying your team's hopes and dreams on a single play.

LMFAO!!!

That's funny. It would fit perfectly with the clueless look Kubiak sometimes gets on the sideline.

I was thinking more along the lines of the once or twice a game call that causes a WTF? AFLAC moment... followed by the disgusted heave of something at the TV.

Sitting Bullcrap

The ability to sit on/blow leads

1 yard - This refers to C.Browns ability to fumble/not pick up a yard to help tie a game. Leading directly to Texan losses.

C.Brown memorial shot put- The fine passing C.Brown put on display during the Jax HB pass game.
