Pollard and Reeves both $5000 lighter today

Not anything unexpected.

Safety Bernard Pollard and cornerback Jacques Reeves were fined $5,000 each by the NFL last week for unnecessary roughness during the 16-13 win at St. Louis.

Pollard was fined for a fight he got into with running back Steve Jackson. Reeves was fined for pulling down kickoff returner Danny Amendola by his facemask.

I'm glad to see some toughness. Who cares about the fine! 5000 bucks is like money to burn to those guys. Let them kick some ass!! I hope they do it in Miami, just be smarter about it. Does no good to kick ass if you get a 15 yd penalty for it. Hit them in the nuts and keep on going!!

Agreed. Those wearing a differetn uniform should be lying about the field in pain.

Completely agree. I was cheering on when I saw them scrapping during the St. Louis game. We need some more 'tude out there.

I know grabbing the face mask is a penalty, but I don't remember anyone else getting a 5K fine for it???? Makes one wonder.

Yup. I can't remember one although I am sure someone can dredge one up. I don't remember Reeves' being particularly egregious.
