This quote is from the Austin American Statesman this morning in the NFL section concerning the change in programming of not showing the Texans game.

"FYI
KEYE is showing us this intriguing ( Titans v Dolphins) matchup instead of the awful Texans-Rams game. Many thanks to the decision- makers. No doubt VY's presence is the No. 1 reason why".

It might be time for the old KEYE sucks campaign again. What happened to our signatures?

If the Texans were relevant this wouldn't be an issue. Also playing a 1 win Rams team isn't helping their situation either.

The best thing that could happen is for Miami to blow out the Titans and for VY to quit again.

And how are tits more relevant than the Texans? Oh yeah, nevermind, I forgot about all the holy-vince worshipers that can't seperate college sports from pro-sports.

I wasn't directing that toward Hookem, I know he's on our side. Sorry if it seemed that way. I was just stating the ugly truth as well.

Oh well after seeing that game maybe it was a good thing they did not televise it locally, as it was " an awful matchup".

My point was KEYE is always committed to the Texans until they start sucking. If the Texans were a consistently good team they wouldn't cave to the VY jock riders because many in Austin would be on the Texans bandwagon. We have seen that every season.

Yesterday the Texans were playing the worst team in football (and barely beat them I might add). The Titans vs Dolphins game was 2 teams still in the playoff hunt and the game featured the 2 most popular Longhorns since Earl Campbell (VY the National Champion MVP vs Ricky Williams the Heisman Trophy winner).

It's a business and KEYE is going for the ratings. The Texans will pull in the ratings when they finally start doing something. So IMO it is on them not KEYE.

I thought the Titans put on a good show yesterday. A dogfight between two teams who want into the playoffs. I enjoyed watching the football game that was on my TV from noon to three here in Austin. Vince Young's Tennessee Titans are playing very well and have stampeded their way back into the hunt. I'm not a Vince Young supporter. Guy just keeps winning is all. I find hating on how one wins a little silly. Vince gets the job done.

depends on if he is starting or not. Hook is right, the reason(s) the Texans aren't shown are on the Texans. As long as the Texans don't matter, local icons will be more attractive than sucky semi-local teams.

As a former Austinite, I feel for you.

But you might as well come to the conclusion that Keye is gonna be a dick and show VY's team as long as VY is doing well. The Texans being 7-7 and on their way out of the playoffs for an 8th straight season doesnt help your cause.

Your only option is DTV Sunday ticket, or a sports bar.

I agree that the Texans not being shown here in Austin is on The Texans. That's one reason why I say Jerry Jones is phenomenal. Jerry would've picked Vince the second Vince said he was entering the draft. There would've been no if ands or buts. Why? Because of the revenue first, then the potential that Vince could actually help a hapless team start winning. But most importantly because it would've put Jerry's team on more TVs in the biggest state in America.

Our owner just doesn't think he needs to go anywhere outside the Houston Market to market his team.

But we get a break this week because Vince plays on Thursday and not on Sunday so KEYE will be forced to show us. Which means Vince wins this Thursday against a hot San Diego team and we blow our chances at our first winning season against Miami in front of all of Austin so that KEYE can say ' I told you so'.
