Sounds like his uncle may not have been that far off base saying he'd consider another team...

Looks like losing AJ is a very realistic possibility if we don't make playoffs next season. Can't really blame the guy.

AJ is better than EF Hutton...when the quite man talks, people just don't listen they react. I think this is AJ's way to making his displeasure with personell and onfield decisions. Lot's of players/fans can ***** all day every day until it just becomes white noise. I think this is AJs way of doing a mic check. CHECK BABY CHECK BABY 1...2...3
I think this less about AJ than it is just him putting his John Hancock out there for the FO to see. |

“There are times they do things that have me scratching my head,” Johnson said. “I can't lie about that. I mean, really scratching my head.”
“There are times I am sitting around wondering if it is ever going to happen here. “Do I have to go to another team for it to happen?” Pretty telling statements!!! Bring in Cowher now before anymore of Johnsons career is wasted or he decides enough is enough. He deserves better than Kubiak.

“That's not me. I don't want my career to be like that.” “Then again, that has kept me motivated and wanting to be here. You don't want to leave and then it happens. “Then I'd be upset that I put so much into this organization and then it would just all backfire when the Texans make the playoffs and I'm somewhere else “There are definitely times you think about all the scenarios, but right now I don't think I'll be going anywhere else … right now. sounds like he's never leaving to me.

This is his 7th season, IIRC. He's in his prime. If we don't make the playoffs this year (or WHEN we don't make the playoffs) I'll bet AJ will be watching very closely to see what moves the team makes. If they don't load up on some talent to make a run, I'd be wanting to get moved to a contender. NFL careers are too short not to. Hell, that's what I would do.

![]() Sounds to me like he really wants to win as a Houston Texan, but he's also just tired of losing. I hope the dude retires as a Texan, but only if that is after lots of success. Otherwise, I'd hate to see a HoF player use up his career on a perpetual .500 franchise. |

Don't let fan boy McClain read any of this, he already exclaimed that AJ had an "impassioned plea" for Kubes to stay.

If AJ wants the playoffs this year, he must've been a very bad boy.

AJ is asking what more can he do?
How about running the right route on a timing play so his QB doesn't get charged with a INT? How about not getting a bad case of the dropsies during the 4 game losing streak? There is no player blameless during the Texan's 4 week meltdown and these McChin fluff pieces do not help. |

Who puts his heart and body on the line every single week. Never complains. Never asks for the ball more. All he does is show his amazing talent and try to put the Texans in the best possible position to win the game. You have and will always be the man Dre. |
