Slaton visited a spine specialist about the numbness in his shoulder on Tuesday and obviously got bad news. With Slaton inactive last week, Ryan Moats rushed 12 times and was targeted three times in the passing game. He'll share snaps with Chris Brown for the rest of the season. Slaton's long-term prognosis is unknown, but the Texans will almost certainly look for another back in the draft or free agency.

Par for this course if true.......in context of this season, another big blow. I bet it's accurate given that we brought up Henry already. I hate it for Slaton though, hope makes a full, speedy recovery if true.

Just saw an interview on espn news with Adam Shefler and he said Slaton is going on the IR.

Yikes if this is true, i feel pretty bad for him. Slaton has done nothing for me not to wish he wasnt on this team next year. Just a couple bad fumbles, but i clearly think he is a good back.

It's no curse. It's stupidity on the coaches' part. We didn't draft
a mail carrier, and thought Steve could tote the load by himself. Even
Adrian Peterson has Chester Taylor. This is just another reason a change
needs to take place. Kubes. Just because you guys found Terrell Davis
in the 7th Round, doesn't mean you don't need a franchise back.

Its not like they got Steve hurt this year, by throwing him out there by himself. Hell the guy has had to split time with Brown or be set games due to his play.

I thought it was Salton? Damn, this would really suck. I hope it's not career ending. I like Slaton and I think he is a good back that is having a bad season (compared to last year.)

I saw him on special teams. Looks like he dropped the 37.

I would burn my DD jersey in hopes of breaking the curse if it wasn't my only Texans jersey.
