Default So yet another stretch of "most important games ever."

The Jets game was the most important game ever because it would show we're opeining the season strong.

The Titans game was the most important game ever because it would show the loss to the Jets was a fluke and we could beat the rivals at home.

The Jauguars game was the most important game ever because it would show that the team has finally "turned the corner" and can beat division opponents on a regular basis.

The Raider game was the most important game ever because it would show that the Jaguar loss was a fluke and that we can beat teams we're supposed to beat.

The Cardinal game was the most important game ever because it would show we could hang with a Super Bowl team.

The Bengal game was the most important game ever because it would show that the Cardinal loss was a fluke.

The 49'er game was the most important game ever because it would show that we can be consistent and put together two complete football games.

The Bills game was the most important game ever because it would show that we're on the right track to a winning season and the playoffs.

The Colts game was the most important game ever because it would show that we can beat the Division leaders.

The Titans game was the most important game ever because it would show that we can beat the Titans at home on Monday Night football and would really show the world that we've turned the corner.

The Colts game was the most important game ever because it would show that we're winners out for revenge against the previous Colts loss.

The Jaugars game was the most important game ever because it would show that we can still hang in the division and bet our rivals on the road and that Gary is a good coach after all.

Now, we're left with Seattle, St. Louis, Miami and New England, all of which have turned into crucial, most important games ever because it'll show that Gary may be worthy of being retained.

This is a mess. I'm tired of this.

Kubiak will finish the season on a 4-0, 3-1 stretch, because NONE of those
teams are in the AFC South. By the way, we went 1-5 in the division
AGAIN!!

Savor some of this flavor:

Games that I've deemed meaningless, basically December on. Where we weren't making the playoffs but still had those fantastic end of the year runs.

2008
Browns W
Jags W
Packers W
Titans W
Raiders L
Bears W

2007
Titans L
Bucs W
Broncos W
Colts L
Jags W

2006
Raiders W
Titans L
Pats L
Colts W
Browns W

11-5 in meaningless late season games
27-33 Kubiak's overall record
16-28 in games that matter. That sucks. I was all for the rabbit they pulled out of the hat last year but this year probably isn't going to get that same reaction.

Kubiak is the coaching master of meaningless games. If he coached like he does in those games instead of all the brain farts in the important ones he'd be a hell of a coach.

The rest of the season is about player development and getting the kinks worked out of the system(especially the running game). Nothing else really matters at this point.

Said before I think the Texans will be lucky to finish the season out 2-2. Miami and New England will be battling the rest of the season for the division.

For those people saying Miami hasn't maintained after last season, think again. The team went 4-2 in the division this year lost their starting QB and RB and still will be challenging down the stretch. We also play them IN Miami.

IF the Pats lose next week Miami has the best record in the division as a tie breaker. At least we get the Patriots at home... though I said that about the Jets too.

I don't expect Seattle or St. Louis to roll over either. Seattle has the same record as us

I'm actually hoping they go 0-4, so the players can move on. You can
just see the exasperation in their voices after games. Kubiak's message
is gonna tank this team to oblivion if we don't get any real leaders in
that locker room. We don't have an Aaron Glenn or Brian Dawkins
in that locker room.

N.D. Kalu spoke about how Andy Reed forces his players to handle their
business in the locker room with the "player reps." He named Mcnabb and
Dawkins as a couple of the guys Reed appointed to this title. Andy Reed
made it CLEAR, that if they needed to talk to him, he was the LAST option.

This forces players to be accountable to each other on the field. The leaders
are the ones who do it on the field and in practice every day. However, the
Texans have always avoided having players with strong personalities in
their lockerooms.

I guess. I mean that sounds like what should be going in the preseason...you know so you can get into the regular season with a functioning ground attack and such.

Thank god Kerry Collins handed the single win to Houston at the end. 9 times out of 10, we lose that game.

It's because the real season has begun for Kubiak. As the legend goes, every December when a Kubiak coached team gets knocked out of the playoffs, Kubiak opens the roof of the stadium and if he sees his shadow whilst looking at his Denny's menu we will have 4 more victories to pump up the owner and the marketing department. If he doesn't see his shadow, we only get 3 more victories and the marketing department has to work overtime hours till the combine.
