I am sick and tired of watching plays that are destined to fail. Schaub was playing quite well today, so why take the ball out of his hands and let Brown throw? That was a stupid call at that point in the game when a td would have put us right back in it. When the game is on the line, our best players need to be handling the ball, period. Can Brown really be expected to make a throw on the run with pressure in his face? That is a tough play for a lot of QBs, let alone crappy RBs.
There was a 3rd and 3 or 4 earlier in the quarter (I think) and we handed the ball off to Brown for a run up the middle. Predictably, it got stuffed and we had to punt. Again, stupid. First of all, Moats was running a lot better than Brown, and secondly...we suck at running, so why run in that situation? Our O-Line sucks, our RBs suck, we have great WRs and a pretty damn solid QB and yet we decide to run. Or how about bringing a cold Rex into the game and making him throw a deep pass right away? For me, these were the plays that led me to busting out the pink soap. Until now I still thought there was a chance that Kubes could turn it around, but it is quite apparent that it just isn’t going to happen. We need a coach who will put his best players in a situation where they can win the game for us. We don’t need trickery when we have some of the highly skilled players that we have. How many times have we seen Brees, Warner or Brady throw a ball up and let their best receiver go get it? It happens all the time. Time for a change. |

We only have 3 playmakers. AJ, Slaton and Daniels.
Daniels is hurt and Slaton was too this week. AJ needs help im sorry but KW and Anderson are not cutting it anymore. We need a legit #2 to help him out. |

I'd say we have four, but he can't make meetings.

Jacoby missing that meeting didn't help us.

I think Schaub can be included in that group too.

I really like Schaub, and I never doubt him, but he seems to have a tendency to throw pick on potential game-winning drives. I haven't seen the games in person, so it's hard to determine whether he's starting down receivers in these high-pressure situations, or if he's being handcuffed per-se into going with only 1 or 2 options due to coaching.
Either way it's slightly disheartening that he is in the top 5 of QB's, if not top 3, but when it comes to the clutch he makes really weird decisions. |

I am probably going to word this wrong
the ball also needs to be taken away by our playmakers Defensively we have some playmakers It just amazes me that somehow this team doesn't get that key sack or key INT or key stop to win the game I am not bashing here and like I said I am probably wording it wrong.

Yeah our D is just as culpable as our offense. Dunta is a joke as our #1 corner. The only guy in this secondary that is worth anything is Pollard. Our LBs are fine. Cushing needs to get more reps. Barwin as well. Our D-line could use some work though. MW needs to get healthy, Okoye needs to step up and take up some more space. I really wonder if they will get more from those guys with better coaching.

forced its second safety of the season, and the 3rd in Franchise History today. Blame the loss on the coaches taking the ball out of its players hands to lose it themselves. |

Exactly, our defense had a very strong 2nd half, it was the stupid play-calling that cost us.

The secondary today sucked up the first half, and again we drop another interception.. seriously I know they are DB's but man when can we start coming up with some interceptions?

This year: Didn't Schaub drive down the field for a potential game-tying score on AZ after that pick-6 only to have a backfield punch failure? Didn't Schaub drive down the field for a potential game-tying score on Jax only to have C Brown fumble in the EZ? Didn't Schaub drive down the field on both Indy and Tennessee only to have Kris Brown miss game-tying field goals? It's funny we only remember Schaub for a couple of bad picks but not the other things he did well. |

Kubiak said he didn't want to go "off script". I'd chime in what I think of this but I have nothing good to say.

Haha, that is very true. That is a clear improvement over our goal-line offenses earlier this year. |
