Roth was the subject of some controversy at the beginning of training camp in 2009. According to head coach Tony Sparano, Roth failed the team's initial conditioning test due to an unknown illness. However, Roth's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, stated in a television appearance the failed test was due to a groin injury.[2] On September 5, 2009, Roth was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football-Injury list. He will not be eligible to practice or play for the first six weeks of the 2009 season. [3]

Roth is actually a decent player. Not really suited for our defense though.

yes, he's a talented 3-4 linebacker who's great against the run. he should be claimed pretty fast. my guess is Cleveland.

I think he is a solid football player but if he is healthy then I don't see him as a FA for long. He can also play DE, he has the height and bulk needed (6'4" 270-Lbs) we should take a look at least.

He is a cross between Barwin and Bulman in terms of playing style and size with experience at De, so I am not sure why he would not fit the Texans. Not advocating seeing him here as a don't see him as different enough from either, but I would not go screaming at the hills or anything if the Texans signed him.

I heard this kid had a hernia he never recovered from. Hasn't been nearly the same guy he was a year ago and doesn't appear to be an abled-bodied football player at the moment, hence Miami giving him away for nothing.

a decent signing for them for sure
