Default So...much pain.

I am sorry for starting another thread guys but I would really like to express myself right now..I don't know how how or why but in 2001, I saw a new team on the rise and since I had never really attached myself to a NFL team I decided that I was going to follow these new dudes, I remember watching the expansion draft and being mega excited for this teams future and to this day every chance I get to watch the Texans either it be on national television or illegally on the internet and I always seem to be upset at the most crucial times. Now being a New Yorker it's easy to be a Yankees fan but to be honest I am a fan because it has been passed down through the family and for me the Texans were my choice, my own decision...They are like a brother team me as cheesy as it sounds, some obscure team under the radar that I hope to rise up one day and prove themselves, but every year..every gosh darned year I am upset. In this moment in time I really don't know what to do, I am so hurt by this loss. I know it's a game and all but I have such a passion following this team that it feels like I have lost a family member. I even have college tomorrow and I am not even thinking about sleeping I am so upset. To see the hurt in AJ's eyes, one of the humble and amazing Wide Receivers ever hurt me so much. I can honestly say that he is someone I idolize, he is not a NFL diva he plays with his skills not his mouth and he deserves so much more but he strives to stick with his team and battle uphill. Guys, I am sure most of you haven't read this and it probably won't mean much to you but I am seriously am hurt and it sounds foolish and immature but if anyone can lend any advice to why I shouldn't be, then I would really appreciate it because right now I am a mess.

Sincerely,

Mike

Ugh, I hate to be so pessimistic about any comments in here but I honestly can't it is just something about the Texans that doesn't let me love any other team but them. I would just feel like such a traitor liking any other team. I guess time will just heal these deep, deep wounds my soul has just received...

I especially felt bad of AJ. As much as losses like this hurt us fans, imagine with a guy like AJ. Someone who puts everything onto the field. We did enough to tie the game, if not win it. In hindsight, maybe Matt should have scrambled forward for a little more before falling, and then call the timeout. We had about eight second left.

I agree, and that is probably why I cried like a 7 year old girl. When I saw AJ's face I just couldn't help it and I must say it's the first time I had cried ever watching a sports game. AJ is such a eminent player and I feel so much for him right now, I really do. /sigh

I agree, I just had to turn off ESPN because every time I looked up they were playing loops of the highlights of the game, had me by the gut again..

It's not so much the "next year" part...it's the big picture. It's one thing to say "next year" and not see tangible improvements. The Houston Texans compared to the last two years of the Kubiak Era have seen tangible improvements.

They have put together an awesome offense though the running game fell off the wagon somewhere. They will get that aspect back in due time.

It's better than the Capers/Carr years.

The defense makes more plays and is much better than it was last year or the start of this one. And they're getting better. But that defensive line has to start sacking the QBs more often.

Again, it's better than the Capers/Carr years.

The last two games...Colts and Titans, no shame in losing to them. The Titans are too well coached to stay down and are surging again. Tennessee is healthy now, made adjustments and yes, they have one of the best RBs in the NFL. Yet, it came down to field goals. The Texans still gouged chunks of yards on that defense.

The Cowboys got punked at Green Bay and then were a missed field goal from losing to a truly inept Redskins team. The Texans have been putting better effort than Dallas. The Titans are way better than the Redskins.

Overall, the Texans have got to keep playing on and I believe they'll get the better of the Colts next week. It's an improved team and with more players added to the mix, this will be a sure playoff contending squad next season.

I agree and I think that Kubiak will get another year not matter what due to Frank Bush and the D. I am saying this, but in truth I am trying to comatose myself in a bottle of Bushmills. The Texans went 1-1 with the Titans this year and I think the Texans could pull out a win against Indy.

I can still remember going to Oilers training camp at SWT and it was cool. My dad took me to training camp every year, but the times they went to SM was great since my uncle had a river house there.

Yeah, but the thing is we beat the Titans in their OWN STADIUM earlier in the year and held them down. I understand it's a different team and they have VY's legs but if they won tonite they would 1. Be more acknowleged in the NFL and the media and 2. Would have bee 6-4 (first time ever) and have some momentum for this win that you believe we can get against Indy (7-4) I am right with you for the win against Indy but I just feel that tonites game was so crucial in many ways.

Look I hate the Titans more then anything in this world, but I look at it like a college rivalry game and anyone can win it. Im not happy with the turnout, but I have to believe that this team is going to at least split wins with all of its AFC South competitors. I think the loss of OD and JJ killed this team tonight and I dont know why Bush started DR + GQ and not Reeves + GQ.
