Frank Bush

This man has brought our team some good 'ol SWAGGA.
What a difference a year makes. We went from a total clown,
to this guy.

Who says Kubiak will always be a mediocre coach?

This decision worked out. I admit that and agree that Frank has done a heck of a job. Adding Cushing and Pollard sure helped but overall the defense is very improved.

When Kubiak starts making good and timely game-day decisions then I'll concede that he will not always be a mediocre coach. Not yet though. Not yet.

I don't think that I am quite ready to say that Bush is our saviour. There is no doubt that he has brought improvements to our team, but I am not fully sold yet. Teams will now have some game tape on our defense, and we will still need to step it up another notch in the second half of this season.

yep. Re: Bush, let's see the D stop our division rivals in the next three games before crowning him anything. First order of business is to put the brakes on the CJ/VY combo rolling into town on MNF.

As far as Kubiak, I want to see a winning record before saying he's anything beyond a mediocre HC. Sure he has potential and the team has improved, but HC's are judged by what matters most: scoreboard.

I think this thread is on the right track, but the proof, as they say, is in the results.

Our defense is much better now than it was last year at this time. Some of it is due to some player changes, some Frank Bush. I won't make a guess at the percentages there, but I'm certain Bush is good for the Texans.

Better than what we used to have, that's for damn sure!

The Texans have to add a few more peices to the puzzle through drats but I think Frank Bush is right man for the DC job.

I don't know that I'm too worried about teams getting film on our defense.

The second half adjustments this team has made are awe inspiring.

Long time ago, bow ties were considered the epitome of sophistocation. More recently, it has been associated with figures from the clown-like Jerry Lewis, all the way to the other end of the spectrum like Winston Churchill. Today, if you wear a bow-tie on any occasion other than a black-tie event, ordinary people are likely to expect you to pull a bunch of flowers out of your sleeve. Now, if Bush can pull wins out of his ass, I'll be the first to send him a new collection of bow ties to wear to the playoffs.

He reminds me of that crazy Vietnam vet in an 80's movie with Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. Can't remember the name of the movie, but they play 2 stupid trash collectors. Anyway, I'm loving the D I'm seeing. Bush has my vote. LOL

We've got, easily, a top 10 NFL defense right now. Not too freakin' bad!

It's obvious Bill Bellichek wishes he had our defense... If he did, he wouldn't be avoiding a punt up 6 points with 2 minutes to play!

I ain't worried about them getting tape on us, because they ain't doing
ANYTHING exotic right now. When we played the 49ers, Brian Billick called
the game. He kept commenting on how BASIC our defense was. The front
four go get the QB, the LB's fill the gaps on the run plays, the secondary
keeps its "zone eyes" watching for screens and draws.

The players are trusting that their teammates will do their jobs, and each
player focuses on HIS responsibility. The Texans are running a very basic
scheme, but they are VERY GOOD at it.
