These refs are terrible! Same lead referee as the Colts/Texans game. Tribble I think his name is. Terrible. I imagine its the same crew. They are so bad.

I just found and posted an old blog somebody wrote on the NFL Week 10 thread. Written in 2006, it seems Tripplet hasn't changed much.

Jeff Triplett is the worst ref ever, he and his crew and made a joke out of the texans/colts game and is now doing the same with packers/cowboys game, going under the hood twice and should have never gone over there. he blew 75% of the calls vs texans when will the NFL wake up. They are horrible!!!!!!!!!

Has a referee ever been fired for simply sucking? Seems like NFL and NBA referees have a lifetime job even if they suck.
Take this ***** out of the NFL. |

Yeah, you can safely add MLB to that list. Angel Hernandez and C.B. Bucknor come to mind.

It's not like these refs were biased in this game, they were just bad.
When a ref doesn't even know whatcan or cannot be challenged and doesn't remember how many challenges have been made by one team, there is a problem. It would be interesting to see how many flags have been thrown by this crew compared to others. These guys are tossing flags around every 2 or 3 plays. |

There was a spot in the middle of the first quarter where they threw flags on six consecutive plays.
I know that these are the two most penalized teams in the league, but that right there is pretty hard to accomplish. |

The refs sucked but no excuse for my Boys. The only call that I didn't get was the Felix Jones recovering the ball and them saying it was Packer ball. Then when they challenged it, they said they couldn't challenge it. It was only 10-0 at the time. After the next score it was over. Could have changed things but Dallas shot themselves too many times and deserved the L.

Back in 2003, there was a wholesale firing of refs............actually they were given the option of resigning or being fired. Funny thing, all of them had repeated satisfactory performance reviews. Sounds more like after-the-fact coverup actions for unsavory league motivations. The term "sacrificial lambs" come to mind.
