Daniels to the IR?

Anybody know why this is taking so long? He has already had the surgey, he is not playing this year. I didn't see any reports of who the Texans worked out this week. I wonder who will be filling his roster spot, any thoughts?

He isn't having surgery for two weeks. Casey had a scope. Doesn't really matter - he's done for the year. They'll do it when they decide to sign someone.

Daniels was placed on IR today. The Texans signed Jesse Nading from the PS to take up the roster spot.

They also signed LB Marcus Freeman and TE Dezmond Sherrod to the PS.

I'm gald we have 10 d-linemen on the active roster, even if we only have 5 LBs. Good to see both Jammison and Nadeing given a chance.

I have a feeling Barwin is going to play a little TE and all coachs and players are being hush-hush about it. Surprise attack!!!

With Jamison and Nading, the Texans are probably concentrating on aiming at Manning. Jamison showed some nice moves rushing the QB in preseason. Nading, if you've ever seen him in person, has a huge wing span............the better to wrap you up, my dear Peyton.

Good point, as long as you're on this thread, has Dejuan Robinson been a heathy inactive or has he been injured? What is his injury status?

All I can tell you is that his knee seems to have kept him off the practice field today.

He had calf problems earlier in the year when he was a scratch... and I believe Kubiak has mentioned the knee problem that CnD is referring to.

That plus they made a decision to go smaller/quicker on the D-line a while back. I get the feeling there's going to be a pretty good amount of turnover on the back end of the D-line depth chart this offseason.

I remember hearing that they wanted to smaller more athletic DL for better penetration of the OL. However it seemed to me that Dej-Rob was pretty good at that, and less of a space eater.
