Which one do you like the best and why?
Here's some of my own thoughts. Fox I've been watching it for years now, but the formula is starting to get stale. Bradshaw gets more annoying every year. Jillian Barberie's gone, so that's one less annoying person. The biggest con is there's too much NFC coverage. CBS I just can't bring myself to watch this bunch of lameasses. Then I guess they needed street-cred, so they got Shannon Sharpe. Charley Casserly as your "Insider" is a joke. ESPN This is the one I'm thinking about switching to, because I'm a huge fan of Keyshawn the Broadcaster. The question is do they talk about the Texans? NFL Network 4 hours long is overkill. Not to mention, the only reason why I'd get up at 8 AM on a Sunday morning is if the house were on fire.

I happen to get up early on Sundays:
a) If it's an away game, I can get my chores done while the NFLN is on in the background. b) If it's a home game, it doesn't matter 'cause we start drinking at 7:00

I don't like any of the pregame shows to be honest. They always try to include these "feel good" stories or sob stories about a player, and how they overcame adversity or something. That doesn't get me pumped to watch guys beat the crap out of each other for 3 hours. NFLN tends to have less of it however, well at least after 10 am.

During away games I tend to watch ESPN, mainly because there's more info on it. I will flip between that and NFLN just in case there's something Texans related.
I DVR both CBS and FOX pregame and watch it later in porn style(ff thru the boring and watch the good stuff). If its a home game then I'll be at Reliant. |

I can't stand to hear Shannon Sharpe butcher the English language. Everytime I see him I'm reminded of how abysmally our public schools fail young men from the inner cities who JUST HAPPEN to have athletic ability. It's like listening to an old Amos & Andy radio program.
I find the banter between Terry and Howie funny as hell and I think Pam Oliver is gorgeous!

I voted CBS because its the one where you'll most likely hear about the Texans, plus they get you first to the field for a little early coverage of the game.

I don't particularly like any of them and tend to just have it on for backround noise while I check the net for injuries and last second roster changes. I have to give the edge to CBS though. Like Jaayteetx said, it's the most likely place to hear anything about the Texans and they're first on the field.

NFL Network is fantastic
I always have to hear what Warren Sapp has to say about his Texans ![]() Also Mariucci does a good and their reporting is pretty good too I like ESPN for Scheffter and Mort but everything else with that station is pretty much garbage CBS and Fox don't start on Sundays until an hour before the game... not good enough... I'm up by 8-9am on Sundays, thats when I need my coverage |

I watch the pregame show on ESPN. If it's a boring segment though, I'll switch back and forth from NFLN, CBS, and FOX. I'd prefer the 610 pregame show to all of them, but I don't listen to the radio much at home, so I have to catch it while I'm going to the store or something.

yeah, none of them are that good, lots of fluff and pseudo-analysis and predictions no one cares about, lots of patting each other on the back and joking around for no real reason, but i guess i'll go with CBS because they have the most competent people, i guess

I guess I have to give the edge to Fox, at least I think it's Fox since I flip around so much. Whoever has Jay Glazer(sp?) giving playing or not reports for FF purposes. But other than that they're pretty much all the same, and that's not all that.

CBS is my pick....Shannon Sharpe's 'the Unknown Tight End' bit was hilarious....

I don't like any of the pre-game shows, but I voted CBS because I don't hate as many parts of it as I do others. I actually like James Brown and Esiason somewhat, I'm indifferent on the others, and I detest Casserly. That's better than I can say for the other shows.

I don't watch any of them. But the time Sunday gets around, I'm pretty sick of team and player analysis from watching NFLN all week.

i like james brown and terry bradshaw, but the rest of their shows i can definitely do without - especially fox's NFC lean. i usually stick to NFLN and switch to CBS about 10-15 minutes before the game to catch any texans coverage.

NFLN owns all comers, but I'll give some kudos to ESPN2 for Fantasy Football Now. That show is the best thing to come out of Bristol since Sarah Palin became a grandma.

lol! yeah, I'm pretty much the same way. I'd probably give the edge to NFLN - with the exception of the slobbering-for-Favre Mariucci-stories - but I'm pretty busy on Sunday mornings so I don't have to do jack at noon but sit and watch tv.

I think you and I are the only ones that get all of our chores done Sunday mornings (provided the Texans are not a home).
