just something a little different. i'm gonna name a player and then talk about how he is doing this season. some positives and some negatives. then i will state another players name and the next poster can comment on my player and what i said and then he must talk about his player with some positive and negative quotes. at the end of your post you must name another player for the next guy.
rules are the only person who can comment on your player is the next person to post and at the end of your post you can name any player or coach. we will see if this works or not. i'll start with a. johnson. positives - best player on the team. really had a solid game today without any drops. I also think he has worked hard on his catching ability. his hands are better than when he came into the league. negatives - not a lot. i think he could do a better job on deep balls that or thrown short. he seems to give up on them and that has lead to some int's. almost caused another one today. he still dropes a pass every now and then. always makes up for it though. next up is Duane Brown. |

Positives - He looks improved in pass protection from last season, but that may be do to the competition he's faced, vs. the murderers row he went against. He does make some nice blocks, especially in space.
Negatives - Like the rest of the O-line he's struggled in the running game, taking a huge step back from last season. He still makes a lot of poor blocks in pass protection, but Schaub bails him out.

Schaub positives, most TD passes in the NFL. Yes, more than Brees, more than Peyton and only Big Ben has more passing yards than Matty. Negatives, his floaters, especially to the sidelines. It also seems like he's a little late with the ball at times as it seems receivers who are wide open aren't so wide open by the time the ball gets to them. Owen Daniels.

Owen Daniels
positives - Big, fast, strong, can out muscle an LB for the ball and will make a safety bounce off of him. Great at picking up YAC. negatives - Blocking leaves room for improvement. Hasn't broken one extremely far because he doesn't have that top end speed that WR's have. Next up - Brian Cushing

Brian Cushing:
Positives: What's not to like? He brings a new level of intensity to the defense. He plays with a passion never before seen on the Texans team. He has amazing sideline to sideline speed. He leads the team in tackles. He seems to always make a clutch play at the most important time of the game. Negatives: Durability is still a little questionable. He made a few rookie/assignment mistakes at the beginning of the season. Next up: Dunta Robinson |

![]() ![]() ![]() I will take him Str: Brings a swagger to the defense. Hard hitter, and solid tackler. Weak: Below average cover guy, don't think he wants to be here. Jacoby Jones

Positives: great speed, great threat in space, big playmaking ability and starting to contribute at WR. Negatives: still muffs the occasional punt, still drops the occasional pass (although less often than before, starting to make some tough grabs). Small hands plays a part in the drops, needs more consistency at WR. Kevin Walter.

Positivies: Big WR, reliable, underrated blocker, great route runner, very good hands.
Negatives: Lacks the speed to spread the defense and make the big break away play because of this, he can disappear in a game from time to time. Demeco Ryans

D-Ryans
Positives: He's got a good nose for the ball and can move sideline to sideline. He's isn't skeered to put a lick on anybody, no matter the size. He's turning into a true leader of the D. Negatives: He's still a bit of a liability in coverage, but has improved from last season. Possibly due to shedding a bit of weight? At times he's taken out of the play when Olinemen get their hands inside on him. Zach Diles #54

Zach Diles:
Pos: Good ability to scrape down the line and then quickly penetrate into the backfield and make the tackle for a loss; Has good speed, strength and acceleration, is a good open-field tackler and plays bigger than he is. (Love his scrappiness) Neg: A little short listed at 6'0 for an OLB so he has some trouble covering taller TEs and slot receivers but tends to make up for it with his strength; Not very consistent nose for the football. Neg: He seems to have lost a step running the ball from last season, due to either increased bulkness that may have slowed him down or not picking the right holes; dropping too many balls, puts the ball on the carpet too often, too many fumbles - any way you want to say this, it is becoming a real issue in his second season Amobi Okoye... |

Steve Slaton:
Pos: Has very good top-end speed and great ability to make tacklers miss "in space". Solid pass-catcher out of the backfield. Great dual threat. Neg: Appears to have lost a little initial burst from his rookie year (weight - muscle mass issue?) and has issues seeing the cut back lane. Has also recently developed an issue hanging on to the ball. Next...Mario Williams

quick note on dunta. I think its time to move him to safety after the season if he stays and pick up another db. I believe that would really make our secondary very good. dunta likes to hit and should be able to cover as a safety.

Positives Prototype DE has great combination of power and speed. Is great against the run. Gets most of his sacks off of natural ability. I would like to see what he could do with another pass rushing threat opposite him. Negatives Isn't a quick twitch athelete. Slow out of the blocks on pass rush. Has had injury issues.
