Colts release starting DT Ed Johnson - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

The Colts released Ed Johnson for the 2nd time. Johnson, 25, has been starting for the Colts this season. He was waived to bring in Matt Stover, yes a kicker.

Any interest in this guy? He has had some character issues, but he is young (25), and could be of use when we play the Colts who we have to beat home/away.

I was going to mention this yesterday, but realized he was primarily cut do to behavior problems. Which means there is not a chance in heck the Texans even look into him.

And that needs to stop. By now, we should have enough core players that set the expectations for behavior on this team. Indy can afford to get rid of these players, we can't.

He is listed as 6'2" 296.

Shows that in "2007 had 72 tackles, including a season-high 9 tackles in the Colts' AFC Divisional Playoff loss to the Chargers. He finished the season ranked in the top 20 in tackles among NFL rookies."

Rick Smith better be on the phone. I would love to have a DLman that wants to prove something to the colts.
