How do all of Schaub's targets match up against the Cardinals?

We have arguably the deepest roster of WRs/TEs in the NFL and when you throw in Steve Slaton that means Schaub is extremely lucky to be conducting this offense.

A lot of us are worried about how we're gonna match up against the AZ's WRs and rightfully so...

But i'm sure a lot of their fans are worried about how to much up against all of our targets on offense and if they aren't then they're gonna be in for a surprise on Sunday!!!

AJ vs DRC: Advantage AJ

KW vs Mcfadden: Advantage KW

Their safeties imo are the strongest part of their team. Adrian Wilson is a top 5 safety and Antrel Rolle was converted to FS last season but was drafted in the 1st round as a CB so you know he can cover. However, I think they're gonna have to keep one of them on AJ to give whoever is covering him over the top help which means the other safety and their linebackers are gonna have to watch out for OD, Jacoby, Anderson, the other Andre, Dreesen and Slaton. Not to mention the occasional Leach screen to keep them honest. Maybe we'll even let Thor join in and get some looks? Now would be a good time, we've been keeping him a secret all regular season!

All things considered, this thing should be a shootout!!!

They have multiple pass catchers at WR and HB (Well tim hightower). We have multiple pass catchers at almost every position on the offense except for the line. I like our offense better but it seems to get bogged down easily if the line isn't playing as well as it can.

Indeed, which is why we need Antoine Caldwell to step up and get into the rotation ASAP. Or we need to draft/sign a priority FA next season because we need to upgrade the interior OL so we can compete with big physical DLs on a consistent basis. Especially teams like the Jets, Ravens and Steelers in the AFC who have monster NTs and smart DCs that can scheme said monsters against Chris Meyers one on one.

I wouldn't want them to force Caldwell into playing time if they don't feel he's ready though. We only play 2 more teams with huge garbonzo NT's this year. The Pats and the Jags again. Meyers was able to handle what Miami threw at him last year and I think Duane Brown's rematch with Joey Porter won't be as lopsided again.

I'm fine with Meyers starting for the rest of the year as long as he's healthy, and he keeps improving. That should give Caldwell plenty of time to learn what he has to know to inject himself into the starter spot. I look for him to replace either Pitts (Free Agent possibility) or Briesel either when we are knocked out of the playoff picture or next season.

Hence the "he needs to step up" qualification

I think we need to sign or draft another starting guard in the offseason because imo Studdard isn't the long term answer and we dont know what we'll have with Pitts coming off injury and over 30 years old. Briesel is solid imo, not gonna dominate his man but he's not gonna get run over either.

But for THIS YEAR our best option is for Caldwell to step up and start being consistent. Otherwise our OL is going to look good against average and poor defenses but when we play the good ones we're gonna get Jets'd.

Warner is looking to do Sunday what only 5 NFL QBs have accomplished..............FIFTY 300 yd passing games. We will have a feather in our cap if we are able to stave that off.............and a whole chicken on our head if we win.
