I know its early, but at 2-2 we are technically still in it this year and its such a positive change from last year that I thought it might be nice to keep watch of who is doing well in the NFL.
The early favorites for the division leaders around the NFL are: AFC South: Colts at 4-0 with a 44 point differential look pretty unstoppable. AFC West: Broncos at 4-0 with a 53 point differential haven't beaten too many notable teams, but 4 wins in a row is 4 wins in a row AFC North: Baltimore at 3-1 with a 44 point differential looks very tough AFC East: NYJ at 3-1 with a 17 point differential look to have a solid offense with a playoff caliber D Wildcard races: The AFC East has 2 big teams in the playoff hunt, with both the Jets and the patriots looking like contenders. The Patriots are 3-1. AFC North has Baltimore (3-1) Cincinatti (3-1 and 1 play away from 4-0) and Pittsburgh (about to be 2-2) all as legitimate this year AFC South holds Houston and Jax tied up at 2-2 AFC West still has San Diego about to be 2-2 Only room for 2 WC teams, looks like another year where 10-6 might not be good enough to make the playoffs

At this point, it's gonna take a division title to make the playoffs in the South this year. The East and North are just too strong this year.

Things have a way of changing over the course of the season. Could make it easier, could make it harder, but it's still way too early to award even one, much less both wild-cards to anybody/any division.

Hopefully the AFC North teams beat each other up in division, gives us a pretty good chance. We can take care of the Bengals ourselves if we don't crap out.

Thats a good point. Is there a way to see how many division games each division has played? I know the AFC South has played a lot already

Cool, thanks. AFC South has had 4 division games and all other divisions have had only 3. Makes a little more sense

Just looking at our division I could see the Texans going 11-5 give or take a game or two. new england game could be a game for the play off wild card.
Titans I can see going 0-5 or 0-6 going into their bye. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even get a .500 season Colts pretty sure they will win the division. unless something drastic happens ie. Peyton Manning turns into Davd Carr or gets hurt ... doubtful. Jaguars are playing better than expected but don't see them doing better than 9-7 not sure. Its a long season and these are all just guesses but JMO.

I'm begging for somebody to break Peyton Manning. Nothing spectacular. Just a Benard Pollard-esque move would be sufficent. Just break him.

Something to be said about working your butt off to get what you want but a win is a win no matter how you get it I guess.

As hard as it is to root for the Cowboys I have to do so against the AFC West. Actually the Texans should root hard for all of the NFC against AFC teams. If they win their fair share and the teams beat each other up in divisional games the Texans have a shot at getting in the playoff hunt.
However, they still have to take care of business. We all like to put the cart before the horse, but the team has to win the games they should be winning. They should be 3-1 and holding a 2 game lead over the Tacks and a 1 game lead over the Jags. Git'R'Done |

Funny we beat one of the worst teams in the NFL today and you people want to talk about playoffs. Playoffs?! Don't talk about playoffs! Are you kidding me? Playoffs?! I'm just hoping we can win a game, another game! You don't know. You just don't know. You may think you know, but you don't know. And you never will.
No but really I could easily see us going 6 and 10. I want to see us play like this for the next 3 or 4 weeks before I even start thinking about the playoffs.
