Having been forced to sit through 3 hours of miserably painful viewing, I was banging my head to try to figure out what the heck our D is being taught and what they've been practicing.

Now I get it.......The defense strategy can be easily explained by a famous military strategist:

We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction........ General Douglas MacArthur

The only problem is that this is not the military..........it's the NFL!

Of course, right now, the Texans don't seem to fit either category.

This defense is among the worst I have ever seen. Just plain terrible, our CB's need to learn to tackle, our safeties need some football 101, our DL couldn't pressure a litter of kittens.........just a big fat joke. I don't care how many games we win even if we could eeek our way into the playoffs (which we won't), you don't go anywhere with such a weak, pathetic defense.

We kept almost everyone near the LOS............still couldn't get the sack..............still couldn't stop the run........still couldn't stop the screen............and left the field wide open for the receivers.

Perhaps Mr. Bush is trying too hard with this defense. I saw too many blown coverages. Veteran players are eating our young defense alive. I'm wondering when Kubiak is going to sit Mr. Frank Bush down and have a "Come to Jesus" conversation.

We are overly aggressive...he teaches be aggressive but not play smart. The Drew run was in part because Busing was being overly aggressive and over ran the play. The missed tackles, people over running the play. He needs to teach them to be more controlled.

The whole team was bunched near the LOS with the only real goal, to protect the RUN UP THE MIDDLE and RUSH THE QB..........neither effective because the sidelines were poorly protected deeper coverage was virtually non existent.

That forced fumble near the end is going to cause everyone to forget how poorly Dunta played today. The team is not getting its money's worth with him.

Fred Bennett needs to be fired.

Our safeties suck - all of them.

Our DL sucks, except for Mario.

I don't know how we have "a lot of talent" on the defensive side of the ball with so little production. Aside from Mario and the 'backers, I'm not seeing much.

Dunno - kinda liking the arm tackles and all safeties moving up to stop the run, then get juked out of a running cut for a 50+ yard run.... 3 games in a row.

Dante was fine (coverage-wise), Torry Holt didn't burn us like that rookie. Bennett on the other hand....

The tackling is very sloppy with this team.

i thought dunta played fine. busing and bennett didn't look so hot.
