Default Texans notes

Quote:
Injury update

Receiver Kevin Walter, who missed the first two games because of a hamstring injury, should be back in the lineup at noon Sunday when the Texans host Jacksonville at Reliant Stadium.

Defensive tackle Shaun Cody (knee) and guard Mike Brisiel (shoulder), who were limited in practice this week, also are expected to start.

Coach Gary Kubiak called cornerback Jacques Reeves and receiver Andre Davis game-time decisions. They are doubtful on the injury report.

Cornerback Antwaun Molden (quadriceps) is out.
Three new starters

Left guard Kasey Studdard replaces Chester Pitts, who was placed on injured reserve, against Jacksonville. It's the first start of Studdard's career.

Kevin Walter replaces Jacoby Jones, who had two catches, including a touchdown, against Tennessee.

John Busing is expected to start at strong safety in place of Dominique Barber. Coach Gary Kubiak said both safeties will play extensively along with free safety Eugene Wilson, who intercepted a pass that set up a touchdown at Tennessee.
Game ball for Duffy

Gene Duffy, a freelance sportswriter who used to work for the Houston Post, received a game ball from the Texans after their 34-31 victory over Tennessee on Sunday.

Duffy has been in a Houston hospital since having heart problems recently. Tony Wyllie, Kevin Cooper and Zac Emmons of the Texans media relations department presented the ball to Duffy. Coach Gary Kubiak also visited Duffy this week.

Default Re: Texans notes

For some reason last night I dreamed that Walter was surprisingly "out" for the game sunday.

Yes... I do dream about the Texans.
