Sacks allowed by LTs: Duane Brown
According to walterfootball.com, Brown has given up 2 sacks this season and 1 sack last week. This is not right. I thought the Titans had no sacks last week!

The only 2 sacks on us was by the Jets.
Slaton was charged for one, and Brown the other. But IMO, neither one was warranted. If anything, Pitts should be charged for both or at least one. On one play, Pitts got pushed back. The blitzing LB couldn't get past D.Brown, but since Pitts was pushed back too far, the LB just went inside behind and around Pitts for the sack. Schaub should have thrown that ball away. This one may also qualify as a coverage sack. On the second play, they blitzed two LBs between Pitts and Myers. The angle was bad for Slaton, he was on the other side of Matt and there was just no way he can get there soon enough to block. Pitts should have recognized the blitz and slided to he right to pick up the first blitzing LB. (That would also block the 2nd LB who followed behind). Instead, Pitts slided to the left to help D. Brown on Jenkins. Myers was blocking another guy. |
