LT has had a huge drop off stat wise since 2007. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this is? I have him on my team in one of the three fantsy football leagues that I am in. As I see Daren making a satement like he is and has been making on the field I worry that LT is going to be pulled from his starting job. He is injured now but to have as big a drop off just in two seasons does not seem normal to me. Is it? Age catching up to him now? What has happend to LT?

Too many hits. It happens to all the RB's at some point.

Do you think he'll remain the starter?

The magic # 30.. When a RB hits that number in age, they pretty much all go downhill after.

The guy was carrying the ball a ton for years. Then he hit around 30 and he slowed down with injuries and lack of burst. It happens to the best of them. He is still my avatar though.

Age, wear and tear, etc. LT has had a nice career though, 8 years of injury free football is very fortunate for a running back.

Should I drop him from my team or just hold onto him?

I think that everything looks like a drop off after a year like 2006. It's not like he's been terrible since then though. He's still had over 1000 yards each season.
I think Norv Turner's preference for a vertical passing game and the emergence of Phillips Rivers has played a big part as well. |

To me LT is Lawrence Taylor, the original LT, it took me a while to figure out what you were talking bout.

Didn't he have some sort of snit over some team coming into SD and disrespecting them? The Pats maybe?
I like the guy alot..he's certainly been a great pro player. And he's a Frog. Got to love that he came from a Texas college and actually did something. |
