if the Texans had to go 1-1 the first two weeks, is it actually better to be 1-1 this way because of the fact that not only was this a division win but a road win as well?
GREAT WIN!!! GO TEXANS!!!!

Agreed. If you were going to win one of these two, you pick the division rival on the road.

I'd say that ultimately I'd rather beat the Titans than the Jets. The reality is that I wanted both of these games but expected the opposite of what we got.
We're at that point where we can compete with anyone or compete with no one and it's impossible to tell which team is going to show up. Teams that successfully clear this hurdle go on to become consistent and play hard against everybody. That's where we all want to go. Teams that don't are like the Jerry Glanville era Oilers. They come out and dominate somebody (we can't do that with our lousy defense admittedly) and then the next week they come out and lay down for somebody else.

Easily. The ole Jets beating NE today kinda sweetens it just a tad too..........I said just a tad.

A division game counts as two games. So glad that if we had to go 1-1 that the win came against Tenn.

This win puts us in second place - tied for first if the 'Fins pull off the upset - in the division. This version of 1-1 is better by far.
and I had a hunch that the Jets were better than we gave them credit for. They shut us out and they shut Brady's bunch out of the endzone today too. THAT hardly ever happens. |

Exactly. A win in the division is also a loss in the division. Much more important. Start chanting this folks - weeks 9 thru 13.
