Default We need to solve the Rex Ryan problem

The Texans offense is the same as last year when they were ranked #3. The Jets were the same as the Ravens when we played them last year. The ravens had a rookie qb (Flacco) and rookie head coach (Harbaugh) last year just like the Jets did this year. We didn't throw in the towel then and we won't now either. The only thing that remained the same was Rex Ryan. He knows how to shut this offense down and make us look bad in the process. Kubiak needs to study the game film from those 2 games and come up with a gameplan exclusively for Rex Ryan's defense.

My only concern this year on offense is Steve Slaton. I'm worried that the added weight may have slowed him down. We should find out more this week when Slaton runs against the Titan defense. Other than that we have the entire Texan offense from last year. We will be better. Get ready for a good game. Go Texans!

By the way. I complained after that game last week just like everyone else. Ryan's defense made us look horrible.

See, i don't know if i agree with this. i re-watched the game on GameRewind and a lot of his short carries weren't based on his lack of explosiveness. he simply couldn't find the holes to move the ball or our o-line was simply out played at the point of attack. i expect to see him get comfortable again in finding holes as he gets more reps and i expect Gibbs to get the o-lines asses in gear for this week.

Ryan's defense makes a lot of teams look horrible ....

As for Slaton , I have to agree with V3rm0nt3r. The Texans OL just got outplayed.

I really hope that is the case. I like the way Slaton played for us last year. If he would have turned out like a Reggie Bush clone we would have really sucked. I know our offensive line was man handled and I hope you guys are right and that was the cause of all of Slaton's ineffectiveness. Go Texans!
