I recall seeing one of those Super Bowl shows about the Ravens Super Bowl season and how their coach put a ban on the word playoffs until they got there. I would like to see our coaches do the same. The P word needs to be banned. Even on this board.

I thought this thread would be about a different "P" word, as in p*ssy.....or pluralized to reference a group or team: p*ssies --- as in, "the Texans played soft on Sunday, like a bunch of p______."

I know it must have looked like there were some fans playing for the Texans on offense and defense yesterday but we can't actually make a difference with our attitude, it is up to the players. Just sayin'.

Seriously when I saw this thread I thought the "P" word was ***** (another word for vagina), because that would describe our team. I mean when you talk about "Playoffs", that describes another team...this team isn't going to the playoffs LOL.

Back to the original thread concept.

This strikes me as exactly the same concept as the shorts they wore in the OTA's/Mini Camps/Training Camp a year or two ago that said something about protecting or taking away the ball on the butt (depending of if you were a defensive or offensive player). My guess is this would work equally well (which is not at all).

Football is not a game of gimmicks and "feel-goodery". You win or lose based on talent, dedication, preparation, and will (or lack of any/all of those things).

They win or they don't based on these things, not mind-games and new age foolishness.

I hear you on that. However, if you recall last year, the team made a point to stop worrying so much about winning itself that they forget to do the small things right. I believe it was after The Colts game. Then they go on to win 5 out of their last 6 games. The same could be happening here. Trying to make the playoffs because everyone is saying they are going to and forgetting that they have to play the game.

This was happening to The Ravens and that is why Billick instituted the team rule.
