Have nothing to be ashamed of. The run D was outstanding today, besides a couple of long runs. Pressured Sanchez constantly. Cushing is an absolute monster and will be an All Pro by next season. The only thing that was disapointing IMO opinion is that Schaub doesn't seem to be the answer at QB. I believe the game could have went either way on a couple of plays. Keep your heads up Texan fans, it's only 1 game and there's plenty of football left.

We are not currently interested in optimism. We are sunk deep in our pessimism right now, and good thoughts are not welcome. Please check back with us late in the season when we actually win games.

What you see on the board today is a result of seeing the same crap trotted out on to the field year after year. The fan base is losing patience. Unfortunately for us as Texans fans the same crap football we see in pre-season is the same crap football we get in the regular season. We want to believe but so far we have been given no reason to. Hopefully this is a wake up call and the team turns it around, it is only the first game but it seems to be the same ol' same ol'.
Thanks I guess for the Chins-up post.

I'm usually optimistic, but not today. I think in the end we are just a average team again, 7-9 wins.
Team just looked out coached today, we MAY have the talent to be a playoff team, but i'm losing faith in the coach honestly. Hope he proves me wrong. |

Thanks, Dmitri.
The Jets were fantastic today. They were too strong for the Texans, no question about it. Clearly, Sanchez exceeded any reasonable expectations, and Ryan's blitz schemes were, in my view, brilliant. Congratulations to the Jets on a decisive victory. The primary reason that the Texans lost here today was because of the superior play of the New York Jets. No ifs, ands or buts about it. For New York fans, it was a very impressive show. I appreciate your encouragement. As you can see from some of the threads that are currently topping the board, many Texans fans are apoplectic after this loss. That is not to dis the Jets in any way. The Texans just did live up to the hype and expectations that many of us had heaped on their shoulders going into this game. The Texans can still pull it together and make the playoffs, and I am still optimistic about their chances to do that. But this week was not the start we were hoping for. You and the other Jets fans who have visited here this week have been great to have around. I hope that all of you will continue to drop in any time. You are always welcome here. Good luck to the Jets the rest of the way. Hopefully, we will meet for a rematch in the playoffs. Then we will see what's what.

I was very scared today. I didn't really believe into the hype that the Jets D would be so physical.

That's where you are wrong. The Texans get better late in the season after they've all but been eliminated from playoff contention. That's what they do. They are the "Masters of Garbage Time". They pile up statistics when it doesn't matter and they add wins when the outcome is already decided. Excellent game today from the Jets. You guys look to be going places. We know what that looks like from here where nobody is going anywhere. We're very familiar with the view as the rest of the league pulls away from us. We'll just be back here in 4th or (if we're luck) 3rd again in the AFC South. Where the Texans belong.

Dmitri,
As you can see, some Texan's fans are apparently ready for the Hari Kari knife. |

This team has a lot of work to do next week. A win would go a long way. We don't need conference wins late in the season "when it counts."

since all has been said about the game a scant 1 1/2 hrs after the game, I always thought the Jets uni's were the best in the league...color and design.

Sanchez TODAY was the best QB on the field. The Jets won on both sides of the ball today. Both their lines played far better than the Texans. Flush it and get ready for the Titans. They'll come to play. Hope the Texans are. |

Whatever, M. Schaub is a fragile dumb azz. Man he sucks. Even when he wins games he looks like a weak-minded fragile little girl. He does NOT have IT.
Kubes sucks. Our Defense sucks. Slaton can't protect the ball. Mario can't get 2 hands on the interception. Why are these guys getting paid millions? Had it not been for the lucky defensive score, you have a shut out |

I'M GOOD WITH THIS LOSS....
We got our a## handed to us. Our offense scheme does not work againt the 3-4. Our center can not handle their Nose tackle due to his lack of mass and ability. We were missing 2 starters from our secondary. what did u expect a playoff looking football team Slaton is heavy and uneventful we have absolutely no holes for him to run through. Chris Brown looked like a better "feature" back. Super Scary!!! We still have a long way to go enjoy the ride or get on a different one! |
