Shawn Cody may be starting week 1. He's certainly not on the bubble.
Buster Davis is not "out" He's a bubble guy Harrison is on the Bubble Harris is the starting long snapper. He's not out. He's bubble at worst Stenovich is a bubble guy. Not out though. Busing is buble. Not out. Otherwise, pretty good Spec.

Agree totally with Barrett. I also don't think Buster Davis should be listed in the out color. At worst, after his fine preseason, I would put him at worst in yellow. Frankly, I feel he has earned a spot and with the broken leg of his major competition, that makes him nearly a shoo-in to me.
The same can be said of John Busing who has clearly outplayed Harrison to this point of the pre-season. I would probably have both in yellow. Minor quibbles overall and thanks for putting the list together.

I figured with keeping 4 TE we would not keep a long snapper specialist.

When can we start putting guys on the PS?
And who should be on that list? |

I think Busing has forced his way onto the team.

Without a doubt, I will be shocked if he gets cut. Looks like Grossman will be sticking around and I think Martinez has made a strong case as a 6th wideout. Andre Hall looked pretty good as well but its going to be tough for him to stick. Ditto that with Foster but at least he has PS eligibility. Darnell Jenkins didn't have too many opportunities but I hope he gets a PS spot. I also think there will be two or three guys they snag off the waivers, likely at either DT or S. Should be an interesting day tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow:
We have to carry three QBs. You can decide whether that is because Grossman played well, or Dan O hasn't looked good in the pre-season. At RB you have Moats and Foster. If you can keep 4 RBs, I think you keep them both. Maybe you roll the dice and see if you can get Foster on PS? At WR you have Jones and Martinez. Both of these guys deserve to stay, I wish we could find a way to keep both of them. I am convinced that we got a steal with Casey, which means we are three solid at TE. Maybe you cut Hill to make a space for another one of these guys? |

I know who wont be on the final roster. #27 that guy sucks big ones. I dont know how he has made it this long.
Martinez, Busing deserve to make the team but probably wont.

We're keeping four tight ends - OD, Dreesen, Casey, and Hill. Hill had a bad game tonight, but he's been blocking well all preseason and TC, which is something the team needs, and is precisely why they drafted him.

Busing will, I think, but Martinez won't. I think Busing takes Harrison's spot.

I agree completely, both of these guys deserve to make the team. Martinez has out played JJ and Busing has out played any other SS/FS in preseason, but our opinion and Smith/Kubiak's opinion seem to be 2 different things. I hope they do the right thing.

Busing made his case tonight. I would take him over Harrison who's window of opportunity just ran out with Texans. |

The two biggest highlights for me are Harrison getting cut and Harris not taking up a roster spot. Both great news! (What can I say I got it out for guys with "Harris" in their name.)
Lowest point for me is Zgonina making the squad. Bad, bad sign. Holding out hope that Foster clears waivers (didn't want him on the roster) and that we actually trade (reasonable) for a DT. My theory that we might deal Daniels has taken another hit. Kubiak mentions in his presser that Dreesen wont be overworked pulling double duty because he's the backup TE. just some random thoughts.

It's probably hard for this staff to cut a guy (Zgonina) that's like a coach on the field + a positive locker room influence + a mentor with valued experience to help Okoye, Deljuan, Cody & Bulman develop to their potential. I don't see it as a problem this year, check back next season
