Donald Brown had 5 carries for 58 yards including a 38 yarder...

His preseason debut reminded me of another speed back in our division: Chris Johnson

I hope that our offseason changes on defense bear fruit so we can slow down our divisional opponents and any other team that gets in our way of the playoffs!!!

I dont think Id get concerned just yet. Brown ran a 4.51 at the comnbine--hardly a speed back. Johnson set a record with a 4.24 I think. One run in a preseason game doesn't really mean too much.

The longest run of the night was from Samkon Gado, who churned out a 77 yarder. I certainly would not call him a speed back

Have you seen Brown on film? I dont care what he timed in shorts, in pads he's one of the fastest players on the field.

So looks like being a doctor didn't pay as much huh? Why couldn't Samkon do that here?

Because we never had him in preseason and in the game in the 3rd or 4th quarter.

Addai may be their #2 RB before this season is very old.

Speed wasn't his forte at the Combine. But he was #2 in the 20 yd, shuttle, #1 in the 60 yd shuttle, #1 in vertical leap, #2 in the broad jump.
