Default Bulger (Rams) looked rusty. Sacked a few times.

Watched the Rams game.

Bulger looked awful. Sacked at least twice, no movement or ability to avoid the rush. Couldn't identify the blitz. He just looks totally out of it.

How long has it been since he's had a good season? 2 or 3 years?

On the flip side, the Jets' passing game looked great. The running game didn't look so hot, though. All Jets QBs looked capable, and the WRs looked good.

That Jets defense is good. Glad we won't face Pace. He looked really good tonite.

here was Jason Smith, there rookie playing, was he on the left side or right side (away from the TE)?

I think Bulger will be okay once the season starts but if not, then the Rams are in for a long rough season.

I want to say that I saw him on the right side, and that I think he was either rotated in and out, or wasn't out with the first team.

Can't really remember for sure.

Bulger looked really bad. Boller looked better. Brock Berlin got a small injury, and then Keith Null (UDFA out of my alma mater: West Texas A&M University) replaced Berlin and threw a pretty TD pass past two Jets defenders into the end zone who were blanketing the Rams WR.

Samkon Gado (former Texans running back who didn't stay here long) rushed right through the middle of the Jets line, in the 3rd or early 4th quarter, and raced to a very long TD run for the Rams.

I think he's had concussion issues.

And that offense peaked, but never remained the same after key player and coaching losses.

You know who else was sacked alot last night also? Peyton Manning. The Viking front 4 is amazing, but the Colts looked awful his first five or six pass attempts as he was sacked over and over.

this post deserves a smiley

Mark freaking Sanchez looked pretty decent for his very first nfl game ever. That made me a little sad.

Watching Peyton eat turf over and over was very relaxing though. That whole "Start Charlie Johnson over Tony Ugoh" thing will probably not last all of preseason.

Jets WR Clowney just ran past the Rams secondary at will. No doubt he'll be their deep threat.

Also noticed a lot of corner blitz packages from the defense. I hope Slaton was polished his pass protection because he'll be tested plenty.

Wasn't Ugoh starting on the right side? He gave up 1 or two of those sacks I believe. I try not to get excited about that stuff because the Colts are so terrible in the preseason every year then do a full 180.
