I think I also read it on the HT.com site.
I read 15 somewhere. So I hope he can maintain 10 throughout the season.
I don't think it's too good of an idea to gain more than that!

No offense, but this sounds like pure rumor to me. If Myers would have gained that much weight, I think someone (McLain, LZ, etc..) would have reported it. I have read reports on Adibi and Slaton gaining weight, Brown and Diles losing weight, but nothing on Myers gaining 15 to 20 pounds. If he did gain that weight, I hope it's solid muscle and he didn't lose any quickness. For now though, until I see something more substantial, I'm going to put this in the rumor file.

My memory has yet to fail me, LOL!

http://blogs.chron.com/fantasyfootball/2009/08/

*** I spoke with center Chris Meyers about how I thought he looked to be noticeably heavier this year as camp began and he told me he was 15 pounds heavier this year. His weight gain was definitely planned as he wants to be sturdier against the NTs he has to face this year (three in just the AFC East alone). He feels like he can really tell a difference with the added bulk and he did look to be sturdier when he battled DT DelJuan Robinson in one-on-one pass protection drills. ***

.....

The guys at Battle Red Dog says he's now listed at 299 lbs as compared to 285 lbs last year.

............

His OLD OLD Miami Hurricanes Bio had him at 300 lbs.

Myers does look thicker this camp, at least to me. People don't put on 15 to 20 lbs of "solid muscle' in any given year anyway (not that you are implying that). They may be 15 to 20 lbs heavier but its not going to be all muscle weight.

That's why I settled for 10.

But Cushing seems not to be the norm, LOL!

Cushing wears his weight well. I keep looking at the fact that he is 260 plus or minus a meal but when I look at him he doesn't look that heavy...a good thing.

Yeah, that's a sign that it's mostly muscle.

OK, LZ's statement is good enough for me! Not sure how I missed that one.

Now I'm wondering how much he does weigh? He is listed on the roster at the Texans web site (houstontexans.com) as 293 lbs., both this year and last year. But you say they have him listed at battleredblog at 299 lbs. this year and 285 lbs. last year. So basically he weighs anywhere from 299 lbs. to 308 lbs. this year. Got it! I think.

As I said before, I just hope the added weight will not slow him down. Have to be quick in the ZB scheme.
