I've been reviewing some of the top O-Lineman prospects in the draft and there are two who stand out to me because of their sheer size and ability:
1. Elton Brown 2. Wesley Britt Elton Brown really looks like he has the potential to dominate for a long time in this league. I know he is projected to be drafted mid to late 1st round. Wesley Britt has been slowed because of injuries. He had a terrific senior season and was looking good at the Senior Bowl until he fractured his leg. This will probably drop him to round 5 or 6 in the draft. All of the talk at our #13 pick has been D-Line and I agree with that, but I would like to see us move up and get Elton Brown or take Wesley Britt late. Also David Baas has be spoken of. However, he's a good straight ahead blocker but does not do good when pulling. Thought I would throw this out to see what the wonderful world of Texans fans think of these and other possibilities during this draft and in free agency.

I don't expect Britt to fall from the estimated 2nd to the 5th because of a fracture. He will get checked out medically, but from what I have seen around the internet he is expected to full strength by training camp so the chances of him falling greatly are slim.

no he'll fall because this is just one of many injuries throughout his career...this past season was his full season i believe in three or four years...so i expect him to fall to about the bottom of the 4th to the top of the 5th

Don't forget about the guy from Fresno State, Logan Mankins. He is an absolute stud who is meaner than sh&%. He loves to drive guys into the ground, which everyone saw when he played Virgina in the bowl game. He dominated every linemen he played against...even those from Washington, Kansas State and Virginia. He is scary and I think he was a 2nd team All-American. He is projected early 2nd round, which is a bargain. Mid-major guys are starting to get more looks, and this guy is probably the best linemen on the west coast.

if we do go after an O linemen in the 1st, a trade down would be a great idea. while Baas and Brown are some of the best guards to come out of the draft since Huchingson and lenard davis, either could be chosen in the latter half of the 1st round.

David Baas might be a great pick for us in the 2nd, however, I'm afraid he'll be gone (poss as early as late 1st). His size and ability would be a great asset to the middle of our line.
