I am hopeful in 4 years we look back and say this was very good bang for the buck. I'm sorta hoping Quinn the Eskimo ends up a FS and McCain excels as one of our corners. As much as I like DR, it would be nice if we could get a fairly decent draft pick or a player for him in a trade if Bennett and Reeves could start.

can't have enough db's

Having big money in 1 (DR) and middle class money in 1 (Reeves) and the rest on small vet or mid to late round rookie contracts is not bad at all

What protections are in place for unsigned rookies participating in OTAs? For example, if I'm a first-round pick and I know I'm in line to make 10 million or more in signing bonus, I'm not sure how excited I am about running around on a practice field before I've signed on the dotted line and the billionaire owner has cut me a check.

What would the protocol be for a drafted player injured during OTAs? How would a team handle it?

I think they negotiate insurance contacts, right? I'm pretty sure that's what OD did in order to attend OTA's. I'd assume rooks would be similar.

I think I read somewhere (not sure where) that the Bears, I think, signed like 6 out of their 8 draft picks all in one day. And they only lacked their 1st and 2nd rounder to sign.

It wasn't their first and second rounders, but their first two picks.

The Chicago Bears had to wait until the third round of the draft to make their first selection, but the team wasted little time in getting deals done with the majority of their picks.

The Bears announced on Friday that they have signed or agreed to terms on four-year deals with seven of their nine draft picks. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

The highest selection to agree to terms was defensive end Henry Melton, a fourth-round pick taken 105th overall. The other selections to sign or agree to deals were cornerback D.J.
