Are cuts being made today?

Just realizing today is June 1st. Doesn't that mean some people are getting cut today?

What team are you looking at if so?

I think I heard somewhere that with the looming CBA fallout june first wasn't gonna mean anything...

June 1st is only significant as a date by which cuts could be made and money on the cap hit could be spread over two years. Due to the CBA status that does not apply this year.

Exactly, and there is now no advantage to releasing a GOOD player with a HIGH residual salary. Even if the CBA is renegotiated this year, it cannot effect what infantrycak has just explained.

I suspect that you will see most releases of "descent" players during crucial cutdowns between TC and the regular season.......and the most potentially "valuable players," during the preseason.
