27 years old, seven years in the league, with 11 career interceptions.
Could he help the Texans? With the uncertainty of D Rob, and young DB's we have on the roster, he could be a good fit, with the right price of course. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...s&confirm=true |

I don't think we would do it.
These young guys need game reps if they are ever gonna be anything in this league. Bennett showed us a flash of his potential during his rookie year. This year, it's Molden's turn to show us something. |

In terms of some of the players i see the Texans should look at this one is pretty good, but I think that Rick smith's love affair with drafting DBs makes this one no needed.

Hood was an undrafted coming out of Auburn when signed by the Eagles. Worked his way up and did a vrey good job as their nickle corner. Eagles offered him more money than Arizona to stay in '07, but he signed with Arizona for a starting job. Hood was the guy who filled in as the starter when Lido Sheppard missed time.
Hood was due 3 mil this year and looks to me as a cut to free up money to resign Dansby/Boldin. A class guy who stayed out of the Owens mess. Hood will not go to the pro bowl, but would be an very good player to have. |

Hood would be a good vet presence in the secondary but the only way I see us picking him up is if we happen to trade Dunta which I highly doubt will happen.
All in all he's not a large enough upgrade to take reps from the young DBs we have on the roster. Bennett (4th round pick) Molden (3rd) Glover (4th) Mccain (6th) with a combined 3 years starting experience all need their reps to get better. This is a make or break year for Bennett imo. Either he picks up where he left off his rookie year or he's gonna become expendable when the next crop of rookie CBs join the roster after next year's draft.
