RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks have rescinded their franchise tag on outside linebacker Leroy Hill, making him a free agent.

Brilliantly underhanded move actually. Teams don't have the big $ anymore as they are concentrating on their draft choices. Seattle figures they can sign him on the cheap or force him to accecpt a smallaer deal than he would have gotten.

I understand this move by the 'Hawks but what if a team DOES sign him? During the draft, the experts were projecting the starting LB corps and they had Aaron Curry, Lofa Tatupu, and LeRoy Hill as the starting three. Maybe the 'Hawks have some who can fill the OLB role other then Curry?

Honestly, proably a perfect WLB for the Texans, but doubtful the money works. as for Seattle, there are a couple of teams still with a good amount of cap room, but they have immediately opened dialouge with Hill's agent as not to leave the feeling they don't want him.

He's a very under rated player - If he was up for it I'd sign him for the Texans.
