Okay, let me first start off by saying this thread can be deleted if needed. It may not be all that relevant but I just have to give my appreciation to all the members and moderators of Texans Talk. Thank you for the serious discussions and good insight/opinions on these prospects.
I just went through a few threads over at the texans main site message boards and was completely floored at how ignorant some of those people are. I read dumb post after dumb post. I came away feeling like I just wasted 1/2 an hour of my life that I'll never get back. Whenever a thread was started to discuss something of merit, it always turned into some sort of pissing contest by 8th graders. There was zero intelligent discussions concerning these prospects and how they relate to the Texans possibilities. Thank you for letting me vent my frustrations and thanks to all of you who contribute meaningful opinions/stats/truths and facts about the Texans and the Draft.

Yea, Iv'e noticed that as well. The sad part is is that the Texans main message board is actually on the Houston Texans websites, I wonder what other fans would say if they read posts on the "other" site?!?!
*I would also like to thank the mods and all those who work tirelessly to keep TTalk up and running! |

So, the Texan's Talk forum people talked to the Main forum people and were able to get all the messages from the old Main forum. Then Texan's Talk re-created itself from the original Main forum files and most of the people from the Main forum migrated over here. (The original Texan's Talk forum stuff was archived and went away, I think, although some of the users over here are from the original Texan's Talk board.) Seeing all their users leaving the system, the Main forum changed software again but it was too late and most of the regulars had already left and become regulars over here. So, there's still a Main forum and a Texan's Talk forum but really, the Texan's Talk forum is basically the old Main forum. And that's probably more than anyone wants to know...

Yeah, the main site has a lot of posters and is usually the first place people check for a message board, meaning that they don't have to put in any effort to find that board. People who are really interested in this stuff beyond an occasional post look for other places to post and come here or inthebullseye or another dedicated fan site.
As a result you are more likely to find a higher percentage of well thought out posts here than you are at the main site. Not saying that there are not alot of good posters at the main site, but you have to sort through a lot of trash to find the meaningful posts sometimes. In addition it is very frenetic, due to the high volume of posters, and for me personally it hard to keep tabs on a consistent thread theme, as often the thread devolves into a quibbling mess. Additionally I like to be able to identify the individual voices over the din. Just my preferences.
