Sigh. Inertia is my friend, so I have stayed with Comcast. What are the odds they will adjust my bill downwards to reflect the fact that I am no longer getting NFL network??

Uverse? Direct TV? Which is best?

I agree with BigWig...costly for me to have the NFL package, but there is nothing out there that can rival the coverage I get of the NFL and the Texans during football season.

We need another company in Houston...DirecTV randomly spiked bills and Dish has lost a lot of channels. AT&T is really the only option.

I agree. I rarely watch ESPN during football season. The difference is incredible.

the last I heard, you can still get the NFL network on Comcast, but you have to buy their sports package to get it.

That is what will be ending. I read that the NFL Network will not be on Comcast anymore - either pay or free.

If you haven't yet, send a note to comcast thru their site. I did yesterday and today a lady left me a voice mail from there. I will call her tomorrow and see what she has to say.

Comcast wants NFLN to be an extra $$ channel. NFL wants it as basic as ESPN or CNN. I pay more to have sports channels and it's BS.

Okay...I talked to the lady at Comcast. She was very nice and just wanted to say that NFLN leaving is not a done deal. She thinks something will get worked out.

I also asked if they had gotten many other complaints. Her answer.."Oh yeah!!"

I also told them that it is ridiculous that one has to pay for basic sports channels. We pay 7.99 a month. Its krap.

Let them know that!

My daughter and her roomie have ATT U-Verse in their apt. They have three HD boxes, one is a DVR, all the movie channels, and internet for $140-something per month. The cool thing about the DVR is that they can watch what is recorded on any of the non-DVR boxes.

You have to go to an ATT store and have them check your address.
If they had it in my area I'd switch in a heartbeat.

DishNetwork had NFL Network for free for a period of 2-3 years I believe. And then they made it a seperate channel that you had to pay for (which sux!) so many bogus channel that are completly pointless, I swear these goddamn fuking %$#$%#^#% ^&&^#^#& *&@$^& corporations!!!!!!

Can't the NFL or Jerry Jones do anything about this?????
