THe texans are perrty much in the middle we can drop down to 29 and pick up another 2nd round pick. but i think they will wait til draft day to pull something like this
Giants have the chips to move up in the first round Giants have the chips to move up in the first roundIf the New York Giants are serious about getting a big-time receiver in the upcoming NFL Draft, the organziation has the bargaining chips to move up to the middle of the first round, according to the New York Daily News. The Giants have the 29th selection in the draft and probably won't have a shot at Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree (a projected top-seven pick), or Missouri's Jeremy Maclin (a projected top-10 pick) and they would have to move up to get a shot at Maryland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey. However, the Giants have chips to move into the middle of the first round if they want to give up one of their second-round picks, either their own (No. 60) or the pick they acquired from the Saints (No. 45) for Jeremy Shockey, according to the Daily News. The report also suggesed the Giants could put together a package for Arizona's Anquan Boldin, who could replace the troubled Plaxico Burress. Boldin still does not have a new deal from the Cardinals. It would be sweet to pull off something like that.

Bring it on!
Our pick is worth 1050 on the chart while their #29 pick is worth 640. We could work this a couple of ways, assuming that the Giants insist on at least an even trade per the chart: 1. They send us the Saints' second round pick (#45 worth 460 points). That gives us 1100 while they get 1050. To even it out, we also flip third-round picks (ours at #77 is 205 points while theirs at #91 is 136). That gives them 1255 in the deal while we get 1236. That's close enough for me! Under this scenario, we have the following picks: 1st round: 29 2nd round: 45, 46 3rd round: 91 4th round: 108, 118 (subject to change with compensatory picks) 5th-7th: same 2. They send us their second round pick (#60 worth 300) and their third round pick (#91 at 136) in addition to #29. That gives them 1050 points while we get 1076. If they want to come out ahead on points, we can swap our original fourth round pick--i.e., not the pick we got for Sage--at #108 (78 points) with theirs at #125 (47 points). That nets us 1123 points and them 1128. Under this scenario, we have the following: 1st round: 29 2nd round: 46, 60 3rd round: 77, 91 4th round: 118, 125 5th-7th: same I'd be pretty happy either way. Scenario 1 does leave a long gap between our second round picks and our new third-rounder, but our two fourth-rounders give us the ammo we'd need to trade up into that gap if need be. |

My understanding is Detroit also in market for WR & that should encourage Giants to deal with us. Hopefully there will be several offers from teams to get #15. Maybe Detroit would get into bidding.

All over either. Makes us more likely to use a 2nd on R. Jennings.

Sounds like we need to bring Maclin in for a visit because we just noticed that Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter will need a breather and Jacoby Jones loves mamma too too much.

There are also possibilities with the Steelers or the Lions.
Or we may have to get out of first round completely and ends up with the Giants' #45, #60, and #91 |
