Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson found out that the team had acquired QB Sage Rosenfels about four days before the team officially announced the trade. The Star-Tribune reports that when Jackson heard the news, he was unfazed and actually looks forward to a little healthy competition.

“I’m still going to compete, and I’ll do exactly what I normally do,” he said. “I’ll do a lot better hopefully [than 2008]. I’m going to work hard. What is funny is that it seems Javaris drove TJ Housh away from signing with Minny. Supposedly the Vikings brass brought in Jackson like he was the anointed starter and TJ pretty much said 'well, its been nice, but see ya'

i believe rosenfels had just been acquired or the deal hadn't been announced so during his visit it was Jackson's house.

I think Sage will win the job. I really don't expect Jackson to start.
